Re: r9 270x black screen and striped screen
XFX is known to be good quality. But maybe there is a production issue on this type. Are there more players with similar issues? Correction XFX used to be known as a good quality brand .. But man the mighty have fallen! Just take a look at my graphic card (XFX HD 7950 DD) it coilwrines and the cool...

Re: r9 270x black screen and striped screen
Sorry to hear that
Have you tried to watch the temps. of the core, vram and the vrm ?
Try watching the temps with gpu-z
To me it sounds indeed like an overheating problem, the vram and wrm are know to crash cards
Btw what is you room temp when this is happening?

Re: PC Upgrades
The upstanding part is to prevent the base from bending. Don't remove it completely. You can do an open structure. Lots of work with a Dremel or something like that. I would leave the base intact, as it is designed pretty minimalistic already. And you need it for rigidity. PS those thick thermal pl...

Re: PC Upgrades
The plan was to use a PWM controlled fan the graphic card could use as i can't see the RAM and VRM temps. but once i get it setup then i'll some heatsink fins on above the chips, cause i'd rather be safe than sorry ;) Besides the fan is dead cheap - but the more im thinking about it then any old AMD...

Re: Show your rig
Nice card Prepsi only downside I can see is only 2GB memory, I think 3GB is a minimum these days. I don't think so Bez, that's only if you want maximum eye-candy - which the R 270X isn't geared for, as it is an entry high-end card  2 gigs should be just the right amount to play games just fine...

Porsche Cayman GT4
Just heard that Porsche is making a top of the line Cayman called the GT4, it is set for release in 2016 Rumor has it that it'll get a 3.8 L twin-turbo flat 6 with 450 hp and only gearbox option is the 7 speed PDK This should be a real trackday monster :2thumbsup: http://max.leftlanenews.com/photos/...
