So take TDU2 make it free to play, improve what you can graphically, improve the driving physics, try and start working on the bugs that are still there. Then go about getting some car licenses to add new models to the game, price them right and walla your making money off the IP very quickly. If this goes well on PC they could even move it to the next gens pretty easily and expand the user base there. The foundations are there for TDU2 to be pretty popular f2p if they gave it a shot, most of the hard work is done, a big attraction could be increasing the player count over 8, that would give them a leg up over the crew.
In theory this sounds like a good idea but asking a new team to work on code from 2011 and code they are not familiar with would be a nightmare :eeek:

It would probably be easier to just start again and re-wright the game from scratch, but i do like the idea. :D

Eden/Atari had noobcoders work on the game game in the games late life which is why everything just failed and the game died.

So a new studio with pro coders might be able to make TDU2 great in no time, besides they could just add the drivemodels from the unofficial patch for TDU2 that pretty much fixed every issues that made the game bad.

I agree with GForcerFX to an extend. Making a simple patch for TDU2 will keep it alive for a while. Release the already finished cars, like the UP team did and add support for the latest wheels, including FFB.
They can even release a carpack* and mod injector to allow community created content and cars to be part of the game.
*Many car models have been created for TDU2. Some had unfinished physics already, like the Sport Quattro. These models, that are paid for already, are gathering dust on a shelf at the model makers. Finishing these would in many ways finish the game Eden was not allowed to do.

And TDU1 can be made available through Steam, including car pack. Many would still grab that, as it runs on older hardware as well.
Not to mention the option to port an adapted version to Linux/iOS/Android/SteamOS, so it can run from tablets etc.

There are many ways to milk the franchise before a new game is released.

Made i should install TDU2 again and do some cruising in my tuned Ferrari's yes tuned, i did some hacking in TDU2 and got the Ferrari turning unlocked, and also got a cool billion credits out of it, but i gave like 400 million away to friends 8-) You could basically just type in the amount of money you wanted into code changer program click save and you got the money, and Eden was to lazy to do anything about it.

I think i still got 100.000.000 on my Casino bank account

I hope they make TDU3 harder to mod as so many used these cheats in TDU2.

I seriously cannot wait for this, I only hope they make it a true successor and keep stuff like the houses and avatars and stuff.

A lame attempt from Panthaa to weasle him into the influencers ball ?

I have seen some feedback from him and it is not very helpful for devs. He has a big follower crowd, so that is why Ivory picked him.

The announcement from Big Ben has caused a bit of a stirr on the web. Lets just hope they can live up to our expectations.

Hasn't anyone realized that Bigben could first be going just for a normal game in the Test Drive franchise instead of going straight away for an entry in the Unlimited series?

Yes, but I don't think it is likely as making TDU 3 has much more profit potential than just making a random game in the franchise but who knows maybe they will want to dip a toe in first and then see how it goes.
