Played in the beta and apart from one or two falts I quite liked it :D

I'm really thinking about buying it to pass a few idle hours away on the laptop, it's only the high price putting me off but if I can get it under £30 I'm in :banana-dance:

That's putting me off too and the problems atm with the origin servers. I'll probably wait till the price drops and the server troubles are over.

Well it seems the release of Simcity is one big chaos due to the always online "feature"

- Disconnects
- not able to log in
- updates that won't load (stuck update verifying screen)
- game won't start at all
- crashes to desktop
- no saved content
- servers that are unavailable
- problems with origin itself
- stuck in the tutorials
- not able to claim land/region
- .... need I to go on?

No let them sort it out first then I consider buying it however that always on .... well no not in the light that EA will shut down the servers eventually (sooner then later EA knowing) what leaves an unplayable game.

I'm not having any problems with the game. My only complaint is the plot of land they give you is about half the size of the land they gave you in Simcity 4.

Well I have Simcity now and I must confess it isn't as bad as I thought. Ok there are still issues and bugs but overall it isn't that bad however there is still lots of work to be done by the devs ... for instance the AI traffic.

Are you sure it isn't developed by Eden Games? That list looks remarkably familiar, similar to another game release bugfest.
A familiar concept in the Game development bizz these days. Rushed releases and no pride. I wonder if this will continue to get worse. Maybe Sim City will survive, but this awful mentality of releasing half finished half working games has to go. It kills the gaming industry and will slam back hard in the faces of those who force those rushed out products. After that the finger pointing begins, strikes will emerge, heads will roll and customers will rage. Some will simply never learn... :twocents-02cents:
