I do not play TDU2 very often anymore, preferring ETS2 for cruising. I have been playing a little more recently after playing The Crew beta. All the problems with TDU2 but still an okay game for a cruise. There is a sameness to TDU2 where The Crew seems to have a more diverse environment. Took the Spyker cross country yesterday and the scenery all pretty much the same. Still a fun bounce through the country though.

With The Crew coming out soon, I probably will not play at all (for a while anyway). Who knows how long Atari will keep the servers running but there is an advantage with being able to play single player offline. So, if you have TDU2 and plan on playing The Crew, do you think you will play TDU2 much or ever once The Crew is out?

I know i won't be going back to TDU2 .. only for a very rare cruise with friends, but other than that the game is death to me, after i have put in more than 4000 hours.

The Crew is the future, after i played the beta i was sure that it was much better TDU2 in many ways, but the only area where The Crew really lacks is the player interaction (textchat and avatars) in game, in that area TDU was better, but i think The Crew will be even greater given time to evolve ;)

Bottom line imo. is that TDU2 is death and The Crew is the future 8-)

I won't play much TDU2 after The Crew arrives, that's for sure. But before that there are still some surprises coming up. Including the TDU2-UP V05, that will probably be the last community patch for TDU2, unless some others continue (some rumors confirm that as well)

There are a few other interesting developments in the TDU department, including private server initiatives for both TDU1 and TDU2. So even if Atari decides to pull the plug, there will be options to drive against each other on Oahu.

But i have a lot of confidence in The Crew team. I do like the driving and know what developing power is behind it. And the diversity of the map has me already hooked. I always missed the winter driving in TDU and that is one of the few things The Crew will add to the table.

Competition wise it can be interesting as well, as long as they can keep the lobbies clean of cheaters. But that is not the prime goal of driving in The Crew.

IMO it will be TDU to the next level. Off course with a clear Arcade gameplay and a new concept of CarPG MMO.

TDU2 has a slightly different vibe to it. More about collecting cars and showing them to friends.
In a way TDU2 is more social than The Crew, as you can get outside your car and do other things in the game as just driving. Text chat helps a lot too.

It will be interesting times the next couple of months.

I hardly ever play TDU2 now, once you've played The Crew it's no going back I guess. :D
I won't forget all the good times I've had and the friends I've made thru TDU1 and TDU2 and I've no doubt I will make a few more in The Crew. 8-)
Even though I love driving games I'm not a big racer its not that I don't like racing I'm just not that good at it to be competitive
That's why I'm looking forward to The Crew, lots of open space to cruise and explore. The only thing stopping this from being the perfect game for me is the sticker shop but I guess that will come I hope.

This is pretty much the same for me. I am not a real competitive person by nature but enjoy cruising. We will have to hook up once The Crew is out and ... road trip! :auto-swerve:

I passed the 8000 hour mark this week, so I'll keep playing TDU2. Have a whack of profiles at different stages, so no worries there. Whenever the servers are out I just do offline, and still enjoy it. Probably play a bit less once the crew comes out, but then it'll depend on how much I like putting in long hours on it. May be that I'll just play a bit, and not the long haul like tdu2.

I'll probably never play it again on PC, but I'll probably continue it on PS3 as some of my IRL friends refuse to become PC players, therefore they are doomed to never more play online games since both MS and Sony don't have Vietnam in their list of supported countries.

I think I kind of quit playing when I got 100% roads and found out there is no way to get the money to get all cars and houses.
Tried the casino with some roulette but it was a drag. One time you win a lot and the next time you lose it all again.
And there aren't any friends in TDU2 anymore. TDU1 was much more lively back in the days.
