Hello all,

I hope interest in TDU2 via PS3 is still alive because I've rekindled the bromance. I picked up this game as a used copy at a local store in Edmonton, and as soon as I got it home, did some schools, the associated races, and bought the Casino DLC. The next day, I couldn't get on because of the dreaded server issue which happens occasionally. I'm not here to complain about that - I owned the game a when it cam out, so I knew what I was getting into. It's still such an awesome game that the issues are worth dealing with.

The reason for this post is that this is the 2nd day that the servers have been up. I have - just this morning - achieved level 5 in the Casino, so that I can enter the VIP section. Also I have enough cash to buy into the tournaments starting at level 1, so I don't want to waste time at the bar buying drinks to find a cherry for a free go. Is it harder this time around to find cherries??

Having said that, I hope that there are others who 1) Are still interested in playing TDU2, 2) Have the Casino DLC, 3) Are in the same position as I, needing to rise through the ranks of the poker tournament. If there are any out there who are also on PS3 consoles, then let me know. My handle in the game is MafiaMike72. I will just be hanging out in the lobby of the Casino off and on while I do chores around the house.

I hope to see you soon.

Edit: So I see that in the Casino, some people will invite you to a tournament for which you don't have access, and the only option is for you to straight out decline the invitation. It's unfortunate that this part of the interaction wasn't improved upon. I have a suggestion, people who are going for level 1 tournaments should wear blue clothes, level 2 - green, yellow & red for levels 3 & 4 respectively. I'm gonna go change...

Hi PokerLover and welcome to TDUDT.

There are still PS3 players playing TDU2. Maybe they will hook up with you on Poker. With that name you must be a Big Gambler

Nice to see people are still enjoying this game :D
Good luck in the Casino, I used to love playing the card games till the cheaters moved in and would just keep going all in every time and spoil the game. :(

Hey Bezrider thanks for the welcome.

To be honest, I do like gambling, but I hate losing money. I do it for fun and every now & then I spend some real money to join a small poker tournament. I love poker, and the many variations of the game.

I just bought a bluetooth headset so I can chat online & organize a level up group. It'll be fun I hope... but if there are cheaters on a regular, I might lose my passion for it in the game. I noticed the leaderboard has a few people at the $2.174 billion mark or so. From what I remember from GTA V, that's the max number in the field... it's probably a cheat. That takes the fun out of it in my opinion. To each their own I guess.

Cheers,

Mike

Well I bought a bluetooth headset that does't seem to work. So everytime I get an invitation that I have to decline because it's a tournament for which I don't have a ticket, I send the person a message saying that I need help levelling up. None comes, so it seems like I'm not going to be using the Casino portion of this game.

That's too bad. But I'm having fun playing the other parts of TDU2. It seems like the Wilder brothers are squabbling again... I gotta go.

You can level up in the Casino by doing other games, slot machines, silly moves, order cocktails and drive laps around the Casino. Once your level is high enough you can accept the invites for the L4 VIP Tournament, that everybody plays.

The whole VIP Poker is not very weel thought out. They should have forced everybody to do the lower tables first and win them before the next round becomes available. Now it will be hard to fill up a table at L1 or L2.

You need to get enough friends in there and join the L1 together. That is how we did it on PC.

Yeah the levelling up in other games is done... you need to have a Casino level of 5 to then be able to access the VIP (Tournaments). Once there, you have to go through L1, L2, & L3 before being able to play L4. Trying to message people as I get invited to say, "Can't, here's why. Can u help?" I also talked to 2 people at a L1 table to join this forum so that we can organize a steady group... I'm not gonna give up so easy.

Edit 1: Although I have to test the theory that I can just skip to L4 as long as I have the ticket... I have only 1 L4 drink to keep trying to a free ticket. I'll post the results when I know for sure.

Edit 2: Ok I was wrong MadMan... and i feel a little foolish thinking that the progressive L1 to L3 was required before L4 was entered. It would have been a better system to do so, because yes L1 is not at all popular. I saw 2 people at that table this morning and that was the most I've seen all week.

You're not foolish. That L1-2-3 would be requiered before entering L4 would be logical. But the devs of TDU2 were French. Nothing beats French logic i suppose.

So, mayby it is time to get drunk on Fruit Smoothies with the biggest Cherry Hustler of the TDU2 Casino. :loll:
