I have just acquired an Xbox and just wanted to ask all of you Xbox players if it would be worth getting TDU2? Obviously there will be those saying yes and others saying no, but please don't just reply like that put some reasoning into your response.

I loved playing this game on PC and still get on it occasionally, but the amount of hackers and time the server is down is just unreal therefore I'm thinking of changing which platform I play this game on. I know I can get the game nice and cheap but if the servers are just as bad as PC then to be honest I'm probably best keeping my money. So are there many of you still playing the game regularly(maybe 6-8 hours a week), is there a large number of players to be found online(not just in race lobbies but in general), are all the well known hackers/modders/cheaters still around or is it just those with a 458 and a couple of hundred million dollars? I'm just curious, and I'm not looking to create a club as I am guessing that there will be no hope of finding patient members or other clubs wiling to co operate with race restrictions. I would love to join a club if I do get the game, so offers would be taken into consideration.

Thank you for any replies and no MadMan I still don't want sex.

While I do not have this game for PC so I am unable to make 1st person observation on the server reliability comparison for both platforms, judging by what I see here it seems that the 360 is down much less than PC. I've had this game since launch and the worst thing that I recall was the in-game clock being stuck at midnight for about 3 weeks, but you could still play live with other people. There have been periods of server maintenance that the service was down for (like when they were migrating the servers), but other than that, I'd say our servers are much more consistent and rarely ever down.

As far as in-game player traffic on the 360, the servers are always busy, the Casino is always packed too, and since Forza Horizon came out and then fizzled, player traffic seems to have increased (closer to what Feb 2011 looked like when the game came out. The best I can figure is that people got tired of Horizon and decided to buy TDU2.

As far as Hackers and Modders, I'm sure they exist but I have yet to see them. I haven't even seen one 458 Italia since launch. The obvious proof of their existence would be in the CRC, I'm sure most of those times are from cheaters, but I rarely touch that feature anyway so I'm a bit indifferent.

Thank you for your input, I understand that you can't tell whether or not the servers are up more on PC or XBOX but knowing they are up most of the time is good.

I heard Horizon was a bit of a let down due to the size of the map and the way the online free roam was set up, and if it has brought players back to TDU2 that's great even better if new players are coming along. I won't bother with the Casino as I get no enjoyment playing it on PC and Xbox will be the exact same.

Once again thank you for replying, I shall wait for a few more responses before I decide whether to buy or not.

I'm an xbox player (don't have a gaming PC or PS3), so i'll try to give as much of a non-bias input as I can.

As for server downtime: Xbox is by far the best. I play TDU2 constantly, and as far as 24hr+ downtime's, I only recall 3 or 4 in the past 2 years. Based on what I hear PS3 is next best, and PC is the worst.

As for hackers/modders, Xbox ranks in the middle. There are by far less hackers than on the PC, but xbox is known to have more hackers than PS3. As for the "hacks" themselves, the most common are money hacks and club car/458 Italia hacks (including unlocking the cars, painting them, and tuning them to level 4). This probably accounts for ~95% of the bad people (remaining use speedhacks and etc, but honestly I haven't seen one in quite sometime). Excluding money hacks, you probably won't notice many hackers at all (but counting them, you will probably find at least 1 money hacker within the first 30 mins of playing).

Overall, i'd say it is worth getting TDU2. The fact that it is dirt cheap now only helps (you could probably get it $5 used at a store; most i've seen it for new is $20, but only if you buy it off the marketplace on xbox).

As for clubs, I run the GAC (German Auto Club), but we kind of have a prerequisite that you at least somewhat have a preference toward German engineering; if you don't, that is fine, no offense taken. You'll also need to have Hawaii unlocked, if you join at least.

As for Horizon, IMO, yes, it was a let down, as there were many negatives. I feel like Horizon did everything great that TDU2 feel short on, but Horizon feel short on many things that TDU2 did great at. Horizon has better graphics, a larger car selection, and better car physics; however, its map is pathetically small, you can't leave the roadway minus 1 area (guardrails set up on every road, so you can't just climb a mountain if you want to), and there is generally a lot less to do (for me, once I beat the game, it got stale fast. Not good for multiplayer events as the gametypes are limited, and if you want to go into "freeride" with others, you have to set up a multiplayer lobby for it, and then invite people).

Thanks for your feedback, talking about hackers/modders/whatever they are, if I remember correctly you are very much against them? Also the price is probably going to be the deciding factor for the purchase, meaning it is very likely I will buy it. As for the GAC, I would very much like to be part of this club but just so we know we can get along it may be a good idea for us just to cruise/hang out to start with and after a while maybe recruit me? I would have to say the Audis were my favourite car on the PC but I do hope I'm not expected to drive German cars every time I am on, as I do enjoy using the TVR, some Ferraris and the Zondas. Obviously when with the club I guess German cars are preferred.

One last thing, on FH did you find it exceptionally easy to win the sponsor cars? Like so easy that it seemed as if it was fixed for you to win every time as just had a major fail round the last bend but still beat the bi plane

Oh yeah, and that is an understatement. Don't get me wrong though, this opinion applies to consoles only; I have no opinion of PC modding as it is an entirely different ballgame.

Sounds perfect. Getting to know each other first is always a good idea.

Of course not, you can drive whatever you want. I actually had it all explained in my club topic (but I foolishly did not back up the original post before the forum went down). The only "restriction" really is on official club events (i.e. I upload a CRC challenge for club members, or a cruise). I'm pretty lenient on the German cars only thing (unless you are an executive, a little more strict then, but still plenty of flexibility). The important concept I think is to realize that the club isn't a "German cars only" club, but more so a "German cars preferred" club, meaning you aren't restricted in what you can drive 24-7 (I don't think anyone would join if I did  ).

Yup, you got it. So long as you don't screw up bad between the last checkpoint and the finish line, no matter how fast you were in the first 90% of the race, it is rigged to have you win by like a tenth of a second or so.

Do you guys experiencing it too right now?
it happens before? and if it does, how much time it took them to fix it?
it's really annoying!
