The new GT3 RS is based on the already successful 991 GT3 and is destined to up the benchmark when it comes to everyday usability and powerful track performance. Porsche claim the new GT3 RS is the ‘definitive track car for everyday use’. The GT3 RS does away with most of the unnecessary creature comforts in the process of maintaining the comfort of daily drive ability.
The new GT3 Rs is powered by a 4.0 litre flat six cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 500 hp and 460 Nm of torque. The numbers which will be responsible for propelling this sportscar from standstill to 62 mph on 3.3 seconds with a top speed of over 190 mph. Combine this additional power and an increased downforce thanks to a host of new aero parts and the new GT3 RS can lap the infamous Nurburgring in 7 min and 20 seconds.
The new GT3 RS is lighter than its sibling thanks to a new lightweight magnesium roof panel and carbon fibre engine deck and bonnet. This prompts to a saving of 10 kg in the overall weight of the car. These components along with a new front splitter, vented front fenders, new scooped rear panel as well as the massive rear GT wing complete the list of exterior modifications.

On the inside, the GT3 RS gets the carbon fibre sports bucket seats of the 918 Spyder with six point safety harness. A bolt on roll cage behind the front seats replaces the miniscular rear seats.
