ADRIAN PADEANU wrote:Ferrari is no stranger to making special unique cars for clients not entirely satisfied with the standard production models. Recent examples include the F60 America and F12 TRS based on the F12berlinetta and the 458 MM Speciale, while this weekend at the Ferrari Finali Mondiali event in Daytona another bespoke car was quietly unveiled.

It’s called the SP275 RW Competizione and it’s based on either the regular F12 or the more hardcore F12tdf limited to 799 units and already sold out. Chances are it started off as the latter judging by the wider fenders and side slats. The yellow coupe sits pretty next to the 599-based P540 Superfast Aperta one-off and the aforementioned F60 America, with all three sporting a somewhat similar finish.

According to a member of the Ferrari Chat forums, the latest Special Projects car from Ferrari belongs to Dr. Rick Workman from Florida and he took delivery less than a week ago. It was built over the course of two years and wears a Giallo triplo strato (yellow triple layer) paint with blue carbon accents. The bodywork represents a nod to the 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB/C owned by millionaire Preston Henn, a car considered by some as being the most valuable Ferrari ever that might be worth $75 million or even $100M.

Getting back to the SP275 RW Competizione, it’s unclear at this point whether it has any hardware upgrades over the not-so-regular F12tdf. The Tour de France special edition represents Ferrari’s pinnacle of naturally-aspirated engines, with a V12 pushing out 780 horsepower (574 kilowatts) and 521 pound-feet (705 Newton-meters). It’s enough punch to enable a 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) run in 2.9 seconds and a top speed in excess of 211 mph (340 kph).

Details about the SP275 RW Competizione’s price tag are not available at the moment of writing, but you can imagine it was way more expensive than the F12tdf, which during its brief time on the market carried a starting price of €310,184 (before taxes).

Ferrari has finally dropped some info on this one.

CRISTIAN GNATICOV wrote:Following the introduction of the SP 275 RW Competizione at Daytona earlier this month, Ferrari has dropped finally more data on their latest bespoke supercar.

Based on the same underpinnings as the F12 Berlinetta, Maranello's latest one-off exotic uses the same 6.3-liter V12 engine and gearbox as the limited edition F12tdf.

This means that the 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 lump delivers 780 PS (769 HP) and 705 Nm (520 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, 40 PS (39 HP) and 15 Nm (11 lb-ft) of torque more than the standard F12 Berlinetta.

Performance specs have yet to be released, but the F12tdf needs just 2.9 seconds to go from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph), and 7.9 seconds to accelerate to 200 km/h (124 mph); top speed stands at 340 km/h (211 mph), and the supercar can do it while consuming 15.4 l/100 km (15.27 mpg US), and emitting 360 g/km of CO2.

There's no word on how much its owner paid for it, but since this is a one-off Ferrari that has taken the styling cues of the 275 GTB, it's safe to say that is way more expensive than the limited edition F12tdf, which used to retail for approximately $500,000 back when it was new. The only real question is what number comes first in its seven-figure price tag...
