Isdera Erator GTE '69
Isdera Erator GTE '69.jpg
Isdera was founded in 1969 by Mr. Schulz and is a privately run automaker based in a small workshop in Leonberg, Germany.

The name “Isdera” standing for an acronym of various words: I for “Ingenieurbuero” (German for engineering) S for Styling, D for Design and R, for Racing.

Mr. Schultz designed a prototype race car, the Erator GTE with a tubular frame and a carbon fibre chassis.

This car has on it's roof a periscope (which has the function of the regular rear mirror) a very sophisticated detail for that time shall I say. Further the car have also the "famous" gullwing doors.
The prototype seems to be Isdera's first car and built in 1969, they used the 5.0 Mercedes V8 engine.

The Isdera is a little bit lower than the GT40, while the GT40 has a height of 40 inches, the Erator is only 38 inches. Further have this car a very different air-inlet-scoop for the engine compared to the GT40, those are behind the side-windows, when the door is open you can see it, very special for that time.

Sbarro Charbonneaux Ellipsis '97
Image

In 1985, Philippe Charbonneaux and Franco Sbarro had collaborated to design a Renault 25. Twelve years later, they presented their new project: the Ellipsis. It is the 7th prototype designed by Philippe Charbonneaux around an old idea: an ovoid shape and wheels arranged in a diamond.

The prototype 3-seater, powered by a 6-cylinder Porsche, reached the maximum speed of 300 km/h through a very careful aerodynamics: The CX is only 0.17 (by comparison, a modern car is rarely under 0.30).

Zeus Twelve Sigma '13
Zeus Twelve Sigma '13.jpg
Swedish design house Gray Design AB recently announced that they will launch a new car brand named Zeus Twelve. The release comes accompanied with three renderings showing potential new models, the Magnate four-door sedan, the Gold Rush two-seater GT car and the Sigma track day car.

If you’re wondering who Gray Design are, allow us to fill you in! Remember the Dartz JO-MOJO and the Dartz Nagel? Both designs were penned by Gray Design AB, along withEncizor. The company also produces yacht concepts and motorbike designs.

the Zeus Twelve Sigma will have an extreme track-bias. The body is built entirely from carbon fiber and the interior has been designed to incorporate lightweight materials. The windscreen extends all the way to the rear of the car and can be removed for open-top motoring. Power comes from a 2 liter Caterham Duratec Straight 4 producing 335bhp at 7,500rpm. Top speed is 290km/h (180mph).

Laraki Fulgura '02
Laraki Fulgura '02.jpg
The Laraki Fulgura is the company's first attempt at a sportscar. Originally unveiled as a concept at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show.

Based on the frame and mechanicals of a Lamborghini Diablo, the Fulgura is equipped with a quad-turbo Mercedes-Benz 6.0L V12, initially proposed to produce 920 hp (686 kW), attached to a 6-speed manual transmission. A new aerodynamic carbon fibre body is also added. This brings the Fulgura to an estimated price of $555,750. Performance for the Fulgura is an estimated top speed of 398 km/h (247 mph) and acceleration of 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds.

Laraki Borac '05
Laraki Borac '05.jpg
The Laraki Borac is the company's second model, and debuted as a concept at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. The car was originally planned for production by 2011, but a final design was never unveiled.

The design of the Borac is that of a grand tourer, with a front engine layout and even the possibility of two small rear seats. The Borac is not based on an existing design, unlike the Fulgura. A Mercedes-Benz 6.0L V12 powers the Borac, although it lacks the turbocharging of the Fulgura. This results in a proposed output of 540 hp (400 kW), producing a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph) and acceleration from 0 - 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

Maserati Kyalami '80
Maserati Kyalami '80.jpg
The Maserati Kyalami is an automobile produced by Italian manufacturer Maserati from 1976 to 1983.

Named after the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in South Africa, it was a new model rushed into production after Alejandro de Tomaso took helm of the company. De Tomaso had Pietro Frua take Tom Tjaarda's design of the De Tomaso Longchamp (itself inspired by the Mercedes 450SLC) and modify the front and rear end to create a distinctive Maserati feel for the new car. The interior was also upgraded to incorporate classic Maserati elements such thesteering wheel and instrumentation.

The Kyalami, a four-seater notchback coupe, was launched at the 1976 Geneva Motor Show and was initially available with Maserati's 265 PS (195 kW) 4.2 litre V-8 engine.
Starting in 1978, the larger 4.9 litre-V8 delivering 290 PS (213 kW) was also available. Both engines were coupled with a ZF five-speed manual transmission or upon request a three-speed automatic. Mechanically the Kyalami was closely related to its contemporary Quattroporte, which was also offered with the same engines and gearboxes.

210 Kyalamis were built between 1976 and 1983. Due to its rarity very little was written in magazines about the Kyalami. However, direct owner experiences confirmed the fundamental validity of its design, with a well-balanced, stiff chassis offering excellent body control and an agile, very easy to control handling. The performance offered by the bore 4.9 V8 was characterized by the abundant power and torque delivered by the engine.
