Leblanc is a Zürich based Swiss car manufacturer. It makes modified high-performance automobiles in very low quantities. The Leblanc Mirabeau was introduced in 2005 and is an open LeMans-type street legal racing car.

Mirabeau is a car from Wysstec GmbH and Leblanc cars. It was a proposal for a racecar and prepared to FIA/Le Mans standards .The fact that it is street legal, is almost unbelievable.

Constructed of Kevlar, carbon fibre, and assorted unobtanium, it weighs just 812 kg and its powerplant comes from what was once the world’s fastest roadcar – the Koenigsegg CCR. The engine outputs approximately 700 horsepower and 630 ft·lb from the 4700 cc supercharged V8 engine. Leblanc only states that the Mirabeau has a six speed sequential gearbox.

Thanks to you I remembered of the Leblanc Mirabeau, better than the one you suggested.

And yes I've heard/seen Leblanc before, but I didn't know the Caroline GTR. :shifty:

In the 70's Ford bought into Ghia and commissioned a supercar prototype with distinctly angular proportions.

The result was the Action, which came out in 1978, and was designed by Filippo Sapino. It had a Ford Escort Cosworth chassis, and a rear-mounted DFV Formula 1 V8 engine.

The Ghia Action never made it past the prototype stage.

The Courage C60 was a Le Mans Prototype racing car built by Courage Compétition in 2000, and used in international sports car races until 2006. In 2005, Courage ran two updated versions of the C60 (known as the C60 Hybrid, and using the Judd GV4 engines) as a factory effort, and one of these took third place at that year's 24 Hours of Le Mans; Pescarolo also updated their C60s into a similar Hybrid format, and took second at the 2005 and 2006 24 Hours of Le Mans, whilst also winning the Le Mans Series in both years.

The C60 Hybrids used Judd engines; the Pescarolo version retained its Judd GV5 engine, with a claimed power output of 630 hp.

Yea, but Peugeot and Citroën just aren't known for their supercars (with the later not havin' a single one), however, there are some obscure French atomobili manufacturers out there, Mega, Venturi, and Vintech are good examples of what the French can do.
And don't forget how well they do in the motorsports. Oreca, Pescarolo, and Peugeot are well known in the 24H of Le Mans.
