B Engineering Edonis '01
B Engineering Edonis '01.jpg
B Engineering is a small-volume automobile manufacturer located in Italy. It is made up of several former employees of the Bugatti firm when it was under the leadership of Romano Artioli.

B Engineering is the company behind the superexclusive Edonis supercar. The Edonis was launched in 2001 as a continuation of the Bugatti EB110 Super Sport. It was extensively re-engineered and only retained the Bugatti's carbon-fiber chassis. Both the exterior and interior were completely redesigned and the 3.5-liter Bugatti engine was also upgraded.

The 3.5 liter Bugatti engine had its displacement increased from 3500 cc to 3760 cc. The original four small IHI turbochargers were replaced by two larger units from the same manufacturer. Engine power was boosted from 602 hp and 479 lb·ft of torque to 680 hp at 8000 rpm and 542 lb·ft of torque.

In addition, the 4WD triple-differential drivetrain from the original Bugatti was replaced with a much simpler and lighter RWD transaxle, thus saving approximately 70 kg from total weight. These power figures give the 1300 kg Edonis a power-to-weight ratio of 0.52 bhp / kg. In addition, the engine's specific power output is an unprecedented 181 bhp/liter. The brand claims a maximum speed of 365 km/h, while accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.9 seconds.

Yes, everything about the B-engineering Edonis is better than the EB 110 SS, except the design :loll:

Toyota Supra '79
Toyota Supra '79.jpg
Back in the the 1970’s, the Celica was fighting the good sports car fight for Toyota as rival models, particularly the Nissan 240Z , burst into the scene. But it wasn’t until the latter part of that decade when Toyota decided to ramp up its efforts in the sports car market. That’s when the Toyota Supra was born. Based on the Celica until its third incarnation, the Supra became the sports car Toyota put up against some of the best its rivals had to offer. It’s popularity grew to such great lengths that the Japanese automaker even created a new logo just for the Supra.

When the first-generation Toyota Supra burst into the scene, it didn’t look like the sports car we normally associate the Supra with. It actually looked more like a liftback model that owed its appearance to the fact it was so closely related to the Toyota Celica.

The Supra, though, was five inches longer than the Celica and while it did share some body panels — the doors and rear sections being the most prominent — the Supra still had a uniqueness about itself that allowed it to carve a unique niche that paved the way for future Supra models.

Among the noticeable differences between the Supra and the Celica at that time was the former’s elongated front section, which Toyota specifically did to make room for the inline-six engine that the car used.

In a lot of ways, the first-gen Supra was ahead of its time as far as interior features were concerned. Standard features included a tilt steering wheel and a dashboard that featured an AM/FM/MPX, four-speaker stereo radio, an analog clock, and a tachometer as part of the instrument panel. These may sound normal today, but back then, not a lot of cars had those features neatly tucked close to one another.

Moving past the standard goodies, Toyota also offered a plethora of optional options, including power windows and power locks, as well as cruise control and special door trim with door pull straps, and yes, a sunroof. Believe it or not, the first-gen Supra was already spitting glamor back in the late 70’s.

Finally, the center console of the Supra carried an extendible map light and a flip-top armrest, the latter of which was used to provide ample storage for the owner’s knick knacks.

It looks completely mediocre when you line it up against today’s sports cars, but in its time, the first-gen Supra was a true spitfire. It boasted of a 2.6-liter inline-six engine that produced 110 horsepower and 136 pound-feet of torque, all while mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.

Maybe we are opposites when it comes to cars.

Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang '15
2015-ford-mustang-gt-f-35-lightning-ii-edition-looks-ballistic-photo-gallery_2.jpg
The name Mustang is as intrinsically linked with aviation as it is with automobiles, so it seems appropriate that Ford's latest one-off Mustang build has been inspired by one of America's latest fighter jets. The special 2015 Ford Mustang has been inspired by the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, and is set to be auctioned off at the Gathering of Eagles charity event at EAA AirVenture, a fly-in aircraft convention taking place this week in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Ford has supported the event for many years now, producing previous special edition Mustangs inspired by the Air Force Thunderbirds, the Navy's Blue Angels and the Red Tails display teams, among others. Few have been quite as dramatic as the latest F-35-inspired car, which is made extra special by the fact that it is based on the all-new Mustang, in GT specification.

The 2015 gets a combination of glossy and matte titanium-colored paintwork, with a large blue and yellow lightning bolt motif on the rear flanks. There's also a deep carbon fiber splitter to define the aggressive front end styling, a rear diffuser, a set of Recaro seats and some other interior tweaks to give it a suitably aeronautical appearance.

Proceeds from the car's auction will go towards the EAA Young Eagles program—a non-profit organization that has provided free flights to over two million 8-17 year-olds since 1992, with the aim of inspiring them to take up a career in aviation and its related faculties. Last year's Thunderbirds Mustang sold for almost $400K—so there will be high hopes for the Lightning.

It seems that no one yet knows its specs, or if it has an upgraded engine. Image
