Sbarro Osmos '89
The Osmos was presented at the Geneva Motor Show 1989. This car has the distinction of being equipped with the famous hubless orbital wheel developed by Sbarro.
The engine is a 350 HP Jaguar V12, located in a central position. With barely 1 m high and 2.10 m wide and 4.50 m long, the car surprises. The doors are like a butterfly. But the most remarkable is of course the famous wheel.

Sbarro Sparta '14
The Sbarro Sparta Concept is a hybrid rally car built by students at Switzerland's Espera Sbarro design school.
The Sparta Concept sports a mid-mounted Peugeot 1.6L four-cylinder that drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual. The students must not have thought that was sufficient, because they added two 100-kW electric motors to drive the front and rear wheels as well, which pumps total output up to 407-horsepower.
The entire project came together in just 84 days, so you can forgive the kids if it isn’t exactly showroom material. Underneath the fiberglass body is a tubular spaceframe chassis and low-mounted lithium-ion battery pack. All totaled, the Sparta weighs in at 1.397 kg, just 136 heavier than a WRC car. Somebody needs to put these things into production.

Sbarro Turbo S20 '07
Students from the Espera Sbarro design school have teamed up with French television’s ‘Turbo’ car show to build the Turbo S20 Barchetta concept car to mark both the TV show and the design school’s twentieth birthdays. Up to 20 students took part in creating the new concept car over a period of just 120 days and displayed the car at last week’s Geneva Motor Show.
The roadster features an open top cockpit and a mid-engined rear-drive configuration and weighs just 1150 kg. Power comes from a 5.0L V8 engine sourced from Mercedes Benz that’s mated to a five-speed gearbox and develops 350 hp. Fat 20in alloys with 335mm Michelin rubber fill out the rear wheel arches with smaller 19in units in the front housing OZ racing brakes.
To keep costs down, the designers used components lifted from regular production cars including the aforementioned V8 engine from a Mercedes E500, as well as taillights and interior pieces from the Fiat Seicento and Smart Roadster.
