Ferrari 575 GTZ '06
Even though Zagato's bodies were ideally suited for competition cars, surprisingly few Ferraris have been clothed by the Milanese coach-builder over the years. Most of these were one-off specials and show cars. One notable and particularly beautiful exception was the batch of five 250 GT based Zagato Coupes built between 1956 and 1959. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the model, a prominent Japanese collector commissioned Zagato to create a modern day version.
Work on what was internally known as 'Project Zero' commenced in 2005. As the base for the project the Ferrari 575M 'Maranello' was chosen. Ferrari was consulted early on in the development and they granted Zagato permission to place the familiar Ferrari badges and logos on the car. One condition was that Zagato Ferrari would not be unveiled at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, where Ferrari were due to launch the 575M's replacement; the 599 GTB Fiorano. As per the agreement the 'Ferrari 575 GTZ' was revealed two months later at Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.
At Zagato the donor 575M Maranello had been completely stripped down and fitted with a brand new body and lavish leather interior. Constructed completely from aluminium the new coach-work featured many cues inspired by the first of the five 250 GT Zagatos. Among them was, of course, Zagato's trademark 'double bubble' roof but also the prominent front and rear fenders and the big grille. More modern touches included the front and tail lights, which were integrated in the fenders. Like the original 250 GT Zagato, the car sported a two-tone finish, although with different colours.
The 575 GTZ was among the first of a new generation of custom Ferraris, which has led to an official factory program of which Zagato is now one of the partners. The car's dramatic styling was used for several successive Zagato models. Although, for obvious reasons, the V12-engined machine lacked the racing record of the original, the project was certainly a fitting tribute to the 250 GT Zagato.

Now don't go saying that I made the post for this Ferrari for nothing.
You already plan on ditching the Diatto Ottovu, if you do the same with this... 2 of my researches would be completely pointless.

My only comment about that Ferrari was that I preferred the Bentley GTZ, but I still like this one.死の (Shino) wrote:Now don't go saying that I made the post for this Ferrari for nothing.

I don't get why my post was removed when it was OT...
About the Diatto Zagato, hell no, that doesn't have any redeeming qualities at all. It's interesting that you're choosing which cars to keep based on what the communities think about them.

Aurelio Angle Of Attack '14
Who doesn’t love supercars? They come from all over the world. Ferrari and Lamborghini come from Italy, Germany has Mercedes-Benz and Porsche , and Aston Martin and Lotus hail from England. We here in America have the Viper and Corvette Z06 . In 2014, we now receive a new supercar from the Philippines, sort of. The company is known as Factor Aurelio Automobile and its latest prototype — still unnamed — shows just what two creative minds can come up with.
Drivetrain information is limited, Aurelio will be powered by either a Mitsubishi four-cylinder 4G63 turbocharged engine or a Honda B16A VTEC four-pot. The former is an older motor, with roots tracing back to the early 1980s. The latter engine is also rather old, dating back to the early 1990s. Despite their age, these engines has been updated throughout their lives and improved over the years. On top of that, these engines are also very popular tuners, and have been proven reliable and robust over the years. Many enthusiasts add more bolt-ons to them and report great results. Seeing 350-plus horsepower from either of these engines wouldn’t be a total shock.
The body is made from fiberglass-reinforced plastic, with carbon-fiber bits here and there and the chassis is a tubular space-frame. Based on this, you can expect the car to be extremely light. The developers claim that with the Mitsu engine installed, this car pumps out 457 horsepower per ton, which would put this supercar at a five pounds per horsepower. To put that number into perspective, the Lamborghini Aventador has a 4.96-pounds-per-horsepower rating.
0-100 Time: 4.2 sec. (Est.)
Top Speed: 300 km/h (Est.)

It all started with one man's passion, fueled by love for design and Filipino ingenuity.
Brendan Aurelio, an architect by profession, started building and creating his very first prototype car from scratch as a backyard hobby in 2004. His passion, though constrained by a limited budget, expressed its depth and dimension in a prototype creation that is seen as an original car that is uniquely Filipino, yet powerful and spirited to compete with global brands. His passion saw no contentment, as he devoted his life into perfecting this prototype. Through the years, car enthusiasts did not only notice the design distinction of the prototype, but more importantly, they believed in his devotion and vision of perfecting, fine-tuning, and innovating his craft.
From its humble beginning in 2004, through to 10 years of research and development, design innovation, numerous testings, and in-depth quality assurance, the creator now gives birth to a new prototype – The Aurelio.
Showcasing the prototype during numerous trade shows eventually paved way for a rise in public demand. Banking on skills, craftsmanship, and the art and science of aerodynamics, what was then a backyard hobby back in 2004, now grew into something stronger and faster. The Aurelio is passion and luxury combined, bringing value for money invested by any car owner. The Aurelio is not a replica of an existing car, but speaks of the buyer’s individuality and zest for design and speed.
Today, Team Aurelio, the people behind the prototype, is here for you, raring to share The Aurelio. It isn’t just the potential and the demand that motivates Team Aurelio to embark on this business venture, but the thrill of bringing forth The Aurelio to the global market, because The Aurelio truly roars with the Filipino spirit, excellence and ingenuity.
Steer with us on our journey with The Aurelio, a car for the design enthusiast, the speed and safety conscious, the thrill seeker or simply for anyone whose passion and zest for the best is expressed by The Aurelio.
Drive The Aurelio – a product fueled by passion, crafted with Filipino ingenuity, yet bound by detailed engineering.
Stay confident that behind you is the Team Aurelio, always passionate and excelling in the way we do things, especially in serving your needs.
We run on the Filipino Dream.
We go full speed ahead with Filipino Pride.
We will continue to run on Innovation.
We are AURELIO.
