FPV Falcon GT R-Spec '12
FPV Falcon GT R-Spec '12.jpg
Far from the land we call USA where the Ford Mustang travels its fair roads, Australia has its own muscle car version, called the Falcon.

So while USA gets inundated with all the Mustang variants left and right, the Aussies have something to brag about with the unveiling of the GT RSPEC Limited Edition Series, or as they describe it, the fastest Falcon ever made.

The exterior of the Falcon GT RSPEC Limited Edition Series was inspired by the legendary 1969 Boss Mustang , complete with the iconic stripe package and paint treatment. For this model, FPV dressed up the car with the Mustang’s C-stripe, as well as fitted in an accent package that includes new components like the lower and upper grille surrounds, fog lamp bezels, mirrors scalps, a high performance spoiler with GT decal, and black painted exhaust tips.

Under the hood of the Falcon GT RSPEC Limited Edition Series lies a certified boss of an engine - an all-aluminum 5.0-liter "Miami" BOSS 335 supercharged engine - that produces a mighty impressive 450 horsepower and 420 lb/ft of torque.

In addition to the outstanding powertrain, FPV also paid clear attention to providing a car with agile handling and better traction. So they set out and brought a significant number of component changes to develop the entire package. Chief among them is the rear suspension, which now has higher spring rates, re-tuned dampers, larger anti-roll bar, and reinforced rear lower control arms. Meanwhile, the front suspension now has stiffer upper control arm bushes, stiffer front upper suspension strut mounts, and re-tuned dampers.

Another new feature of the car is the addition of Launch Control, which now provides drivers with a more consistent performance when accelerating from an idle position, thus reducing the amount of wheel slip. Bernie Quinn, Chief Engineer for Prodrive Australia, said: "We have created a Launch Control feature on both the manual and automatic transmission that tailors torque delivery to ensure launch performance is optimized. The system is automatically enabled when the vehicle is started and is designed to give drivers a smooth, consistent launch on typical road surfaces."

Ferrari F50 '95
Ferrari F50 '95.jpg
The Ferrari F50 is a mid-engined range-topping sports car made by Ferrari. The F50 was introduced in 1995. The car is a two door, two seat roadster with a removable hardtop.

The Ferrari F50 is by far the least popular of the firm’s first four generations of modern hypercars. All the world’s respect and awe for the F40 met the F50 at its debut, but the tide quickly turned for this $480,000 machine after reviewers and Ferrari customers alike revealed the F40 replacement’s familiar styling hid dynamics and a driver experience nowhere near the ferocity of the legendary original.

Instead of a peaky and violent Group B reject like the F40, the F50 was a heavy, high-speed missile with limited tractability at low speeds from the V-12 versus the explosive F40’s twin turbochargers and short gearing. Make no mistake, there is nothing wrong with the performance of the F50, which easily spanked [the hottest thing available from Lamborghini at the time, the Diablo VT in sprint pace, as well as maximum velocity. The construction is carbon-fiber with the rigidity of a fortified bunker, the rear wing is eye-catching, and the 1990s makeover of the F40’s simple nose was beautiful, at first.

The F50 largely included the F40 ’s exaggerated and exotic proportions and clamshell hoods front and back. Headlamps above the bumper and hood’s leading edge were possible via shrouded enclosures for the first time in three decades, and the unadorned intake wears only a simple and modest prancing horse.

The F50's engine predated the car; it was used in the Ferrari 333 SP for the American IMSA series in 1994, allowing it to become eligible for the stock engine WSC category. It was a 4.7 L naturally aspirated 60-valve V12 engine that was developed from the 3.5 L V12 used in the 1990 Ferrari 641 Formula One car.

Novitec Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster '14
Novitec Aventador LP 700-4 '14.jpg
Novitec Rosso, located in Stetten Germany, is a tuner of Ferrari vehicles. The company is a branch of the larger Novitec tuning company that specializes is modifications for other Italian marques such as Fiat and Alfa Romeo.

Novitec Torado’s latest program is for the Aventador Roadster, it’s a kit that features comprehensive aerodynamic and performance upgrades. Novitec began with the front end, upgrading the front bumper with a two-piece front spoiler, a central blade, and redesigned air intakes.

From there, Novitec added a redesigned trunk lid that now comes with integrated air ducts and redesigned air extractors that you can spot just in front of the windshield. These upgrades serve the purpose of improving the Aventador Roadster’s handling ability by enhancing downforce on the supercar’s front axle.

On the sides, the tuner installed new rocker panels and carbon-fiber mirror housings, while the rear end gets a massive rear wing that can be controlled below speeds of 112 mph by a Novitec Cantronic control unit.

Interior upgrades are also offered, including clear-coated carbon-fiber components and high-quality materials like leather and Alcantara, that can be ordered in any color.

With an extensive list of exterior and interior upgrades, Novitec’s engine improvements might not even be the best part of the whole program. In any case, the Italian tuner installed its high-performance exhaust in place of the stock unit. From there, the company re-calibrated the Aventador Roadster’s engine electronics with special mapping for the fuel-injection and ignition systems. The result is an improved output of 728 horsepower and 523 pound-feet of torque, a nice increase from the supercar’s standard output of 700 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque.

Novitec Rosso, located in Stetten Germany, is a tuner of Ferrari vehicles. The company is a branch of the larger Novitec tuning company that specializes is modifications for other Italian marques such as Fiat and Alfa Romeo.

The 575M Maranello is the company's first V12 Ferrari. By upgrading its engine mototronics, and adding their free flow stainless exhaust, Novitec have raised the horsepower of the 575 by 18 hp. But really, most of the changes which set this showcar apart are cosmetic ones. For instance, Novitec's 575 features deeper sideskirts, a new front bumper and a rear end with a funtional rear wing. All these pieces are made from carbon fiber and, while making the car more striking, benefit its aerodynamic qualities.

Chassis refinements include 19 inch 'Enzo-like' wheels which conceal a new Novitec brake system that feature eight-piston calipers to stop 15 in (380mm) discs. Aditionally, Notivtec have made the coil-over-shock suspension doubly adjustable.

To complete the range, the interior can recieve Notivec's Supersport seats, steering wheel, pedals and a red or yellow tachometer as on the 360 Stradale/Enzo.

I am undecided on whether I should keep the original 575M on the list or not, I think that the Novitec version is much better. Image

You are more hyped about this than the list's own "developers", no one seems to care, I guess.

Keep in mind that some of the changes in the car aren't welcomed by everyone, by people who simply didn't like the new looks of the car or by Ferrari purists for example. ;)

Exactly, a riced Ferrari will never beat the original version. :twocents-02cents:

Ferrari goes as far as forcing some Ferrari tuners to get a new registration, without the Ferrari name in it.

Ringbrothers Pantera ADRNLN '03
Ringbrothers Pantera ADRNLN '03.jpg
The De Tomaso Pantera created quite a stir when it made its public debut at the New York Motor Show in 1970. Combining Italian styling with American horsepower, the Pantera was both beautiful to look at and blindingly fast on the road. Ringbrothers once again captured the attention of car enthusiasts worldwide with the 2013 SEMA Show debut of ADRNLN – a re-imagined take on the Pantera designed in collaboration with Nike’s innovation skunk works team.

At the heart of the beast lies a Wegner Motorsports LS3 pumping out a healthy 600-horsepower through a ZF five-speed gearbox from Bowler Performance Transmissions with a B&M shifter handling the gear changes. The Pantera’s signature roar is created by a pair of Flowmaster stainless steel mufflers while Royal Purple synthetic oils keep everything running smoothly.

All that power gets put to the ground through a set of HRE S101 three-piece forged wheels shod in Nitto Invo tires with stopping power produced by Baer six-piston calipers at each corner. Subtle design cues like small wheel flares and custom rocker panels with brake cooling ducts adorn the Pantera’s steel monocoque body which has been finished off in BASF’s Glasurit 90-Line paint system delivering the signature Ringbrothers look. Finally, the engine bay received some added accenting courtesy of products from Hose Candy. But ADRNLN’s story goes deeper than its combination of parts and hand-crafted metalwork.

When Mike and Jim Ring first laid eyes on this particular 1971 Pantera, it was in rough shape. The car belonged to Randy Brickle who was diagnosed with cancer and passed away before the shop working on his beloved De Tomaso could finish the project. After Randy’s passing, his wife Cheryl was determined to build the car her husband had always dreamt of. In search of a shop worthy of making her late husband’s dream a reality, Cheryl was referred by a friend to Ringbrothers.

A chance meeting with Nike’s innovation skunk works design team brought a new direction to the project. Members of Nike’s design team first met the brothers at the 2012 SEMA Show where they were quickly impressed with Mike and Jim’s level of craftsmanship, handle on materials manipulation, and keen eye for modern product aesthetics. After a trip to the Ringbrothers shop, the Nike’s team of innovators collaborated with the team at Ringbrothers to bring the car to life with an overall design that told the story of the Pantera through its current owner Cheryl and her late husband Randy.

Thinking outside of the box, the team of Nike innovators worked with Ringbrothers to design an interior that presented individualized color and material experiences unique to driver and passenger – the driver’s highlighting performance fit and luxury excellence and the passenger’s emphasizing confident simplicity and superior comfort.

Porsche 964 Speedster '94
Porsche 964 Speedster '94.jpg
The Speedster name has a long and illustrious history in the pantheon of Porsche . Since the 356 of the 1960s, the Speedster badge signified a gloriously fast, top-down driving experience that can’t be matched. With owners like Steve McQueen , the name carried weight and panache, but there are preciously few Speedster models in existence, as there very few models were made in each generation of Porsche. The 964 Speedster was only created for two years, 1989 and 1994 and less than 2000 were created between those two production runs.

The exterior of the Speedster is extremely recognizable, thanks to its unique convertible shape. Rather than use a traditional top, the Speedster employs a manually operated top that is more similar to a tent than a traditional soft top. As the top was never created to see excessive use, Porsche made sure the cover panel was as stylish and aerodynamic as possible. As you can see, behind the rear seats the car has this large, double-bubble body panel. This signature design feature was replicated when Porsche created the limited run of 997-generation Speedsters.

The secret of the Speedster was its combination of low weight and interesting design coupled with a 3.6-liter, flat-six engine. At this time the engine was good for 247 horsepower and would dump 228 pound-feet of twist to those rear wheels.

0-100 km/h time = 5,7 seconds
Top Speed = 262 km/h
