MonteCarlo Rascasse '14
MonteCarlo Rascasse '14.jpg
In Monaco, there is not that Venturi as an automobile "builder", there is instead a super car manufacturer who goes by the name of Monte Carlo Automobile, and to commemorate their thirtieth anniversary they made the Rascasse.

This new Rascasse is a supercar to look pretty successful that comes in the form of a spider with a removable hard top. We can see the Ferrari influence in the design of this car and notice a windshield
that will surely tell you something in form.

The Rascasse is powered by a mid-mounted engine, BMW-sourced 5.4-liter V12 engine with a total output of 500 horsepower. The supercar is capable of running both on gasoline and hydrogen-enriched LPG, thanks to the expertise of Italian LPG specialist, BRC.

If the body feels good Italian design, the interior is clearly inspired luxury boating world with light colors, leather, metal "marine" and beautiful woodwork. While previous MCA was built in the factory garage Fontvieille in Monaco, the Rascasse was assembled in Italy by specialists like Enrico and Fabio Lavazza. It seems that only the manufacture and development of V12 engines were made in Monaco.

Lol, they placed a clock in the (Momo, Nardi?) steering wheel. I don't think i have seen that one before, done like this. With a Yacht like interoir they remain close to the Monaco Harbour.
The BMW V12 with hydrogen-LPG power is an interesting technology. Overall not a too bad design, very close to existing manufacturers.
And that is probably also its biggest disadvantage. It does not stand out from the Monaco crowd too much.

But i have to see it IRL to make a final judgement. And with that BMW V12 it will sound good for sure.

Ascari KZ1-R Limited Edition '05
Ascari KZ1-R Limited Edition '05.jpg
Ascari Cars Ltd. is a British automobile manufacturer that is based in Banbury, United Kingdom founded by Dutch millionaire Klaas Zwart. The company is named after Alberto Ascari (1918–1955) who was the first double world Formula One champion.

The Ascari KZ1 has been adapted for racing, primarily being featured in the new FIA GT3 European Championship and the used United SportsCar Championship as well as other smaller national series which run a similar formula. These cars, known as the KZ1-R, are similar to the KZ1, but vastly improved.

The most obvious differences between the KZ1 and KZ1-R lie on the exterior of the car. Tuned for racing, the KZ1-R is still a pure road car in every right, but with the invigoration of a GT3 racer. The front lip spoiler has been updated with a pronounced splitter for increased down-force. Also unlike the KZ1, the race version features a large fixed racing wing, in place of the small spoiler. The headlights have been stripped down to the essentials, with HID bulbs and turn signals, losing the silver and crystallized look of the KZ1. The rear fenders of the car have also been increased slightly to house the larger wheelbase. The wheels are forged aluminum alloy, to further reduce curb weight.

The KZ1-R uses a six-speed manual gearbox with a standard clutch and shift-lever, mounted to a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and a tubular steel rear frame. Both front and rear suspension are double-wishbone with coil over dampers, mated to anti-roll bars for stability. The wheels are 19-inch (483 mm) forged aluminum racing wheels mounted to 305/30x19 tires in the rear and 235/35x19 tires in the front. The front brakes are cross-drilled and vented with 6-piston racing-type calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear brakes. Fortunately, the KZ1-R retains power steering, a feature that is sometimes absent from race cars.

The KZ1-R uses the same mid-mounted, naturally-aspirated, dry sump BMW S62 90-degree V8, but it has been tuned for a total of 520 hp. Displacement stays the same at 4941 cc (301.5 in3), with torque at 410.7 lb·ft.

Lexus NX 200t F-Sport '14
Lexus NX 200t F-Sport '14.jpg
The Lexus NX is a luxury compact crossover sold by Lexus, the luxury division of Toyota. The name NX stands for Nimble Crossover

Calling the Lexus NX distinct in its styling is an understatement. It looks like no other crossover on the road. It does, however, carry a rather bold interpretation of the Lexus ‘Spindle Grille’ and arrowhead, LED daytime running lights. The NX comes with two unique front grilles: the standard and the F Sport. The standard 200t and hybrid 300h models get a less aggressive front splitter and grille, while the F Sport enjoys a larger, more authoritative styling cue. The F Sport also enjoys bespoke, 18-inch wheels colored in a beautiful gunmetal gray. The standard NX models get either 17- or 18-inch wheels that correspond to the different trim levels.

Inside the NX is a cabin that almost seems familiar to those used to Lexus’ other products. The Spindle design is found the center stack and the center console features the same elements as other models, namely the current IS sedan.

The Lexus NX comes with two separate engine options. The standard engine is an all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged, inline four-cylinder and the second is the familiar 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder mated to Toyota’s Hybrid Drive. The two engine options are also accompanied by the option of either front- or all-wheel drive.

The turbocharged, 2.0-liter I-4 is an all-new engine for Lexus. In fact, it’s the automaker’s first ever turbocharged gasoline engine. With its first turbo attempt, Lexus decided to go all-out, throwing massive amounts of technology into the engine for high performance and good fuel economy. The engine uses direct fuel injection to precisely place the fuel in the cylinders while the dual overhead valves seamlessly switch from the conventional Otto cycle to the fuel-sipping Atkinson cycle.

The engine features an integrated exhaust manifold built directly into the cylinder head. The twin-scroll turbocharger is then bolted onto the head to make turbo lag nearly nonexistent. Also hanging off the block is the water-cooled intercooler. A variable wastegate control system reduces backpressure during low engine loads. All told, the 2.0-liter turbo is worth 235 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 258.2 pound-feet from 1,650 to 4,000 rpm. The turbo is rated to push 17 psi of boost at wide open throttle. An all-new six-speed automatic transmission is mated to all NX 200t models.

RUF RT-35s '13
RUF RT-35s '13.jpg
German tuner, RUF, unveiled the RT-35 in 2012 to celebrate its 35th anniversary. Now, for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show the package has been transformed into the RT-35s - a kit that adds even more power and an updated look.

With a 3.8-liter flat-six engine in tow, RUF added turbochargers to the overall mechanical configuration, thus spiking the sports car’s output from the standard 400-horsepower output all the way up to an insane 630 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 608 lb/ft of torque at 3,000 rpm. In the RT-35

While the standard version delivered a total of 630 horsepower, the new RT-35s is based on the Porsche 991 and delivers an extra 20 horsepower. The model is also equipped with a seven-speed manual gearbox.

For the exterior, the RT-35s received a new front spoiler and a standard Porsche “ducktail” that offers double downforce. As with most other tuning kits, the RT-35s is offered with new wheels to help lighten the unsprung weight and add a little more rubber-to-road contact. The car is painted yellow, which a tribute to the first Porsche tuned by RUF. For the interior, the tuner added a new roll cage and an Alcantara trim.

Suzuki Cappuccino Hayabusa by Z Cars '12
Suzuki Cappuccino Hayabusa by Z Cars '12.jpg
The Suzuki Cappuccino is a small 2-door, 2-seater demountable hardtop minicar produced by Suzuki Motor Corporation. The vehicle was designed to meet Kei car specifications for lower tax and insurance in Japan. Weighing just 725 kg , the Cappuccino is powered by a turbocharged, three-cylinder, 657 cc DOHC engine or should we say was powered?

Engineering and fabrication experts Z Cars, have put a 1,299cc Hayabusa K7 engine, uprated with forged pistons and H-beam rods on their modified version of the Cappuccino. And the Z Car boys not only managed to make it fit - along with the paddle shift six-speed sequential transmission and uprated Elite MX200 LSD with a mechanical reverse gear - but have manufactured a load of bespoke parts to make it work perfectly: There's a stunning custom inlet manifold, billet aluminium sump, front mount intercooler and radiator, bespoke ceramic-coated exhaust and one-off cooling set-up. They fitted and set up the Garrett turbo with Tial wastegate, blow off valve and stainless steel exhaust housing and mapped the car on their in-house dyno, using a DTA S60 ECU. They made their own rear sub-frame for the car too, with bespoke CV joints and developed their own spring and damper set-up for it too.

The owner is responsible for the car's Japanese urban street racer aesthetics, fitting a wide arch body kit, with side skirts, rear diffuser, vents and all that jazz and a set of pretty rare Image three-piece split-rims.

Yea, I know about these already. ;)

But the Cappuccino is special because of its widebody kit. Also, I posted it in another forum and it got an incredibly good reception from the people there, way way more than I expected.

Jaguar XK 140 Aerodyne Streamliner '56
Jaguar XK 140 Aerodyne Streamliner '56.jpg
This breathtaking Streamliner is a hand built one off Coupe called Aerodyne.

Conceived and created by John Toom, manager of model shop at Nissan Design, International in La Jolla Ca. from 1982-2000. Johns talent and contribution to Nissan Design was even honored with a tribute sculpture by Nissan Design.

John spent over 10 years from the early sketches to the almost finished product, before he passed away in 2001.

This stunning vehicle is based on a 1956 Jaguar XK140 frame and powered by a freshly rebuilt 3.8l XKE motor.

The design has a definite late 30’s French streamliner influence. This is a true hand built car using no aftermarket parts. The door handles, the gauges, the dashboard, everything has been designed and created for this car.

Studebaker President Starlight Coupe '58
Studebaker President Starlight Coupe '58.jpg
The Starlight coupe was a unique 2-door body style offered by Studebaker Corporation of South Bend, Indiana (USA) from 1947 to 1953 in its Champion and Commander model series. The Starlight body style was considered a halo model and was designated 5P (presumably "five-passenger", to distinguish it from the three-passenger Businessman's coupe). It was also manufactured in Vernon, California.

The President Starlight Coupe was produced for only one year, 1958. The Starlight was complete with chrome and fins, but it was still based on the old 1953 body shell. The narrowness of the body prevented the use of conventional quad headlights, so Studebaker restored to a 'pod' design where the lights bulged out slightly on the sides of the car.

It was powered by a 4736cc eight-cylinder engine making 210 HP when mated to its 3-speed transmission.
