Even the official RUF site only mentions the RCT Evo and not the Evo II. It might just be another, more aggressive body kit with double-decker rear spoiler.

Isdera Silver Arrow C112i '99
Isdera Silver Arrow C112i '99.png
ISDERA or Ingenieurbüro für Styling, DEsign und RAcing (Engineering company for Styling, Design and Racing) is a privately run automaker based in a small workshop in Hildesheim, Germany. The company was formerly based in Leonberg, Germany. Each high-performance sports car is hand-built by a small team of craftsmen, and the only way to purchase an Isdera is to call the CEO directly.

The Commendatore is the final product of ex-Porsche designer Eberhard Schulz and his two sons. It was completed as a pre-production prototype which was to be followed by a limited series with a unit cost of $450 000 USD. Unfortunately, before any production Commendatores were made, Isdera went bankrupt and the remainder of the company was sold to Swiss interests. This left the sole prototype for the world and, since Schulz was particularly experienced at creating advanced prototypes, it was finished as a fully drivable and roadworthy machine. The Commendatore had many advanced and unique features such as two sets of gullwing doors and a velocity-sensitive electronic chassis that lowers the car at high speeds

In 1999, Isdera produced a fully functional prototype called the Silver Arrow C112i. The vehicle shared the same body and chassis as the Commendatore 112i, but was powered by a Mercedes-Benz, 611 hp V12. The car's top speed was recorded at 370 km/h. At the time of its introduction, the Silver Arrow was the only car in the world to feature an automatically lifting airbrake.

MG XPower SV-R '04
MG Xpower SV-R '04.jpg
The MG XPower SV (Sport Veloce) is a sports car which was produced by MG Rover. Manufactured in Modena, Italy and finished at Longbridge, UK, it was based on the platform of the Qvale Mangusta, formerly the De Tomaso Biguà.

The MG XPower SV-R was presented by MG Sport & Racing at 2004 Geneva Motor Show. The extra performance comes from a 5-0 litre, XPOWER version of the all aluminium, 32 valve, double overhead camshaft V8 engine. Built in conjunction with V8 tuning specialist Sean Hyland the car accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds. Top speed is circa 282 km/h.

The modifications to the engine give a significant increase in power output from the 320 hp of the level entry SV to 400 hp at 6000 rpm in the SV-R. At the same time, the extra engine capacity gives a massive increase in torque from 410Nm to 510 Nm at 4750 rpm for awesome mid range performance.

To keep the extra power under control, the SV-R is fitted with larger diameter Brembo brake discs. New alloy wheels, a rear wing and unique detailing set this car apart.

Naturally the SV-R retains all the best features of the entry level SV, launched in the UK. The high tech vehicle features F1 inspired carbon fibre composite body construction, double wishbone race-developed suspension, remote telemetry with security tracking and full harness inertia seat belts.

With weight being the enemy of a sports car, the SV-R fights it with a feather-light, yet incredibly stiff, carbon fibre body shell. The lightweight body construction contributes to the car’s impressive body rigidity and power to weight ratio, for improved handling and a low centre of gravity.

DeSoto Fireflite Sportsman '57
DeSoto Fireflite Sportsman '57.jpg
The DeSoto Fireflite is an automobile which was produced by the DeSoto Division of the Chrysler Corporation in the United States from 1955 to 1960. The Fireflite was introduced in 1955 as De Soto's flagship model. It was wider and longer than previous DeSoto models. The car was best known for its long, tapering tail fins, often accentuated by a two-tone exterior finish.

In 1957, the horsepower races had already started, and Chrysler was at the head of the pack with their Hemi powerplants. In the Desoto Fireflite, it was a 341 cubic inch Hemi that used a single 4-barrel carburetor to make a very stout 300 horsepower, enough to push these gorgeous cars to more than 200 km/h. The standard transmission in the Fireflite Sportsman is a 3-speed TorqueFlite feeding a 3.36-geared rear end.

Technical Studios TS-07 '06
Technical Studios TS-07 '06.jpg
There are sometimes cars that are the dream of kids, teenagers or young adults while having never been produced, at least in road-going version. This is the case of the Helem V6, which underwent several lives, many prototypes and several names, raising hope among amateur chauvinists, without ever really succeeding.

It all starts with the famous Spider Renault Sport in 1996. Deciding building his own racing car for the GT2 class at Le Mans, Jean-Michel Roy, associated with the engineer Brian Johnson creates "RJ Racing"
and gets Renault authorization to design a race car based on the Spider, the "Helem" (acronym for "LM" for "Le Mans") has a twin-turbo V6. Two copies of this racing machine developing 550 hp on the basis of the Alpine A610 V6 were manufactured and engaged in competition.

Due to homologation purposes, RJ Racing should have started production by at least 50 copies in order to compete in GT2. A road-going prototype with a V6 monoturbo identical to that of the Venturi 300 Atlantic (3 liters, 281 horsepower) was supposed to be introduced, however, RJ Racing went bankrupt in 1999.

Nogaro Technologies would then buy the project. Nogaro planned on building a new road-going prototype on the basis of Helem, which features the V6 SS9 of the Peugeot 406. But the death of Claude Fior, and lack of means, without doubt, will scupper the deal... Until the company Technical Studio, based in Boismorand, Loiret, presented in 2006 the TS-07 on the basis of Helem. It could claim several engines with power ranging from 180 to 400 horses.

Technical Studios executives were fixed a target of 12 copies but were limited to a single prototype due to the lack of resources and customers.

Raptus GT '99 The Turchetti Raptus is an Italian 2 seat sports car designed by the Politecnico di Milano (well known for its innovative qualities) and then developed and built by the company's engineers "UK Garage".

"The idea was to build a conceptually innovative prototype car" - says Peter Turchetti. "In 1997, I started to develop my ideas around a car capable of combining circuit and open road.''

The Turchetti Raptus GT actually comes from the evolution of Raptus P4 (001 prototype) entirely designed and built in Sicily in 1999 and tested on circuits Catania and Pergusa. In 2001, the company decided to rebuild it with the help of UK Garage as a road car. And after six years, with new technical solutions and more than two hundred amendments to the initial project, the car was finally ready to be commercialized.

The car is powered by a mid-mounted Alfa Romeo sourced 2.0 litre Twin spark, 4 cylinder engine. The spaceframe chassis of the Turchetti Raptus is made from steel and chromium-molybdenum, and is covered by a lightweight body formed from fiberglass.

Nissan 240RS '83
Nissan 240RS '83.JPG
The 240RS was Nissan's take on what a rally car should be. Based on the 240SX (the Silvia in Japan), the rear-wheel-drive car was powered by the FJ24 engine. This 2.4-liter DOHC inline-4 cranked out 236 HP, thanks to custom crankshafts and a special block. The car's body featured Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) on the hood, trunk lid, and fenders, while every window except the front windshield was composed of polycarbonate.

These changes translated to a curb weight of a mere 970 Kg. Nissan produced 200 road-going versions of the 240RS to meet FIA Group B standards, virtually all them sold in Europe. In 1983, the Nissan Works team entered the 240RS in the Safari Rally, perhaps with hopes of taking four checkered flags in a row, like they did with the Violet Rally Car years before.

However, it was not to be, as all three factory 240RSs retired due to engine trouble. The only private entry took 4th. The reason behind Nissan's dismal showing could be attributed to the fact that the Safari Rally was no longer an endurance rally in the traditional sense, but a European style sprint, with many of the competitors running purpose-built race models with a limited production of 20 units.

Nissan did develop a revised version of the 240RS, but by this time, Group B had already become a breeding ground for all-wheel-drive turbocharged race cars, and the 240RS was never able to showcase its talents.

Palatov D2 '14
Palatov D2 '14.jpg
Palatov Motorsport LLC was founded in October of 2008 to design and manufacture high performance vehicles, parts and accessories, primarily targeted at recreational trackday use. The company's mission is to create and build designs with outstanding performance that provide unmatched value in the dedicated trackday car market.

As part of Palatov Motorsport’s fleet of lightweight, two-seat sports cars, the D2 is said to be able to handle the rigorous demands of a racetrack while still keeping the versatility and safety of being street legal. Palatov says that the company accomplished this by developing an exo-skeletal chassis architecture and combining it with an engine package that adheres to 50-state emissions standards.

The company actually sells the D2 as a kit with customers getting the engine from a third party, but the selling point with this racer is the freedom it provides clients to build their own model and fit it with the engines they want and equally important, the budgets they have.

Palatov also said that the D2 is capable of becoming a mid-engine, rear wheel drive, powerhouse that can produce as much as 700 horsepower while keeping the weight at just around 725 Kg.
