Citroën C-Métisse Concept '06
Image

Built by Citroën in 2006 to prove that hybrid cars can be both fast and desirable, the C-Métisse is equipped with a dual power system. The front wheels are powered by a 208 hp 2.7 litre V6, and the rear wheels powered by two independent 20 hp in-wheel motors. This results in the striking looking 4 door super hybrid being capable of maintaining up to 43 mpg of fuel economy.

0-100 km/h time = 6,5 seconds
Top Speed = 250 km/h

Doesn't that means we got more cars than GT6? :)
Yep, with a lot more of diversity for sure. Image

The funny thing about Franco Sbarro is that any car he creates is something special. But he also inspires others to push the envelope.

This time "his" vision on a Rallye car :woot:
With the assistance of a team of students.

Sparta is a prototype entirely conceived and constructed by students, in few weeks only, and engaged in this race without preparation

Sbarro Impact '09
Image

The Impact is a development of the ESP9 and derivatives. It is a special track vehicle combining lightness (weight less than 590 kg) and sports. The engine, from PSA, is a 4 cylinder 1.6 liter developing 150 horsepower. The frame is obviously Dual frame and body is fiberglass.
But the Impact goes further than previous concepts derived from ESP9. The circuit Dijon-Prenois is associated with its construction and the Impact race regularly on this famous french circuit. Since summer 2011, the prototype was purchased by Francis Bouillet, a former student of the school who worked on the Impact and founder of the company Kustom & Racer Design.

Sbarro Sparta '14
Image

Sbarro Sparta Concept, a hybrid rally car built by students at Switzerland's Espera Sbarro design school.

The Sparta Concept sports a mid-mounted Peugeot 1.6L four-cylinder that drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual. The students must not have thought that was sufficient, because they added two 100-kW electric motors to drive the front and rear wheels as well, which pumps total output up to 407-horsepower.

The entire project came together in just 84 days, so you can forgive the kids if it isn’t exactly showroom material. Underneath the fiberglass body is a tubular spaceframe chassis and low-mounted lithium-ion battery pack. All totaled, the Sparta weighs in at 1.397 kg, just 136 heavier than a WRC car. Somebody needs to put these things into production.

Barabus TKR '07
Barabus TKR.jpg
Designed, engineered, certified and marketed by Barabus Sportscars Limited, TKR was conceived to combine more power than a Formula one racecar with the driving pleasure of a road car. Working with some of the world’s most respected and technologically advanced automotive suppliers, the TKR has put power and looks to the front of the motor industry.

When designing the TKR, Barabus put drivability on a wide variety of road conditions high on the list of on the list of objectives. And, while the TKR would be at home on any racetrack, it is also a car that can be driven with pleasure on motorways, autobahns and back roads. The Barabus TKR architecture begins with a full carbon fibre body and chassis. Suspension is fully independent unequal length "A" arms. The TKR chassis and suspension are straight from the race track; Adonis Alanagan was enlisted to assist with the design and building of the supercar and packaging of the TKR.

The TKR engine is designed and built by Barabus and incorporates modern racing motor technology and engineering. Based on a V8 all aluminium block re-engineered by Barabus, the twin turbo dual intercooler motor generates 1005 horsepower at 6800 rpm; redlining at 7500 rpm. Space age materials and engineering are used throughout:

* A Barabus Electromech control system computer handles engine management.
* The ignition system is integrated coil-on-plug.
* A longitudinally mounted transaxle, with unique Barabus bell housing, transfers power to the wheels.

0-100 km/h time = 1,67 seconds
Top Speed = 430 km/h

Ronn Motor Company Scorpion '08
Ronn Motor Company Scorpion.jpg
The Ronn Motor Company (RMC) is a car manufacturer based in Austin, Texas. The Scorpion was produced by RMC in 2008.

The IRS filed a tax lien against Ronn Motors in December, 2009. In 2010 Ronn Motors failed to make all its lease payments to Marble Falls Economic Development Corp. As of June 2010, "The company had not reported any major deliveries or sales, despite loads of news releases.

In September 2010, Ronn Maxwell of Ronn Motors reported that production was on hold pending its ability to obtain a long-term lease. To date, Ronn Motors has produced only a prototype.

The Scorpion was designed as a mild hybrid. The was built with a carbon fiber body, over a race car designed chrome-moly chassis, powered by the latest high tech Acura V-Tech, V-6, Type S, 3.5 Liter power-plant from the 2008 TL TypeS at that time.
On board was a Hydrogen on demand system, which provides 130 octane Hydrogen in real time, blended with gasoline in ratios of 30-50%. Coupled with a close ratio six-speed transmission and other fuel saving measures, the "Scorpion", highway fuel economy will be in the 40 mpg range, and capable of producing 450 horsepower with the twin-turbo option.

Produces hydrogen during vehicle operation through electrolysis of water using the power generated from the vehicles electrical system. A small amount of hydrogen added to the vehicles intake air/fuel mixture allows the engine to operate with less fossil fuel. Ronn Motor Company will use this technology in its revolutionary Scorpion to achieve lower emissions and vastly improved fuel economy.

BMW Z29 '05
BMW Z29.jpg
BMW Z29 is a case study for the BMW Z4 Coupe that will probably never go into production. The new Coupe is a lightweight construction wuth new materials used.

The Z29 is made out of carbon fiber it has the M3 engine with an output of 343 hp. The empty car weights 1160 kg and with its four meters gives an raport of 7.4 lbs per hp - a value, which otherwise only many stronger sports cars like a Porsche 911 turbo (480 hp) or a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti (540 hp) have.

The two-seat prototype Z29 weighs approximately 200 kg less than the Z4 Coupe, however with the aluminum rear axle the weight could be reduced by 30 per cent to altogether 41 kg. Front and rear module of the body are made out of aluminium. The doors are made in modular construction and have an interior and an external structure.

The Z29 has the M3-Motor moved into the middle of vehicle and a six-speed transmission.

0-100 km/h time = 4,2 seconds
Top Speed = 269 km/h
