Monteverdi Hai 650 F1 '95
Image

In 1992 Monteverdi decided to re-enter the car scene. To achieve that he needed something stunning and capturing to cause a stir, such as the Monteverdi Hai 450 SS did back in 1970. The target was to create the ultimate supercar, and a true F1 car for the road. To accomplish that, the company used a Formula 1 chassis from the defunct Monteverdi - Onyx F1 team plus its engine. The car itself was built around an actual F1 chassis utilizing a Ford DFR V8 F1 engine, though in detuned form. The car was named Hai 650 F1, paying homage to its lineage started with the Hai 450 SS of 1970 and denoting the car's power output and F1 pedigree. The car was shown to several potential customers and a few orders were taken, although no cars seem to have been sold to customers. Two prototypes have been built in 1995, both currently residing in the Monteverdi Museum in Basel, Switzerland.

Power Output: 649 hp @ 11.000 rpm
Weight: 850 kg
0 - 100 km/h: 3,0 seconds
Top speed: 335 km/h (claimed)

Korres Project 4 '13
Korres Project 4.jpg
Dimitris Korres may not be a famous name in the auto industry these days, but give it some time and he just might be more than that. The Greek architect and inventor is about ready to showcase his first venture into the auto industry.

The Korres Project 4.

If you’re wondering what that is, the Project 4 is a supercar and a pretty impressive one at that. The sports car sprint with just about 510 hp in 3.8 seconds to 100 km/h. Its top speed will be around 295 km/h, if not determined wrong. Chief among them is the powertrain, which takes the form of a 7.0-liter naturally aspirated engine.

Another important bit of information about the Project 4 is its dimensions.
It’s 3,920 mm (154.3 inches) long, 1,960 mm (77.2 inches) wide, and 1,250 mm (49.2 inches) tall with a wheelbase of 2,560 mm (100.8 inches). Taken all together, the Project 4 weighs 1,600 kg.

The fear that you crack your bumper when climbing a speed bump you can refer to the afterlife, because the ground clearance can increase 400 mm (adaptive suspension) with just one push of a button. Yes, the car has adjustable and adaptive suspension inspired by that of the Citroen 2CV.

The car can also be raised and fitted with different tires (two extra ones on the rear hatch, just in case) and then be driven on Baja-style courses at fairly high speed. It even has all-wheel drive and can rock-crawl quite successfully. With 400 mm of ground clearance the might be very high on its legs to stand.

The design itself is actually good, giving the Project 4 a strong aggressive stance, anyway this unique Greek car will certainly put Greece on the sports car map.

Carice Mk1 '14
Carice Mk1 '14.jpg
The small brandnew company Carice Cars based in Delft, Netherlands has introduced a small electric roadster, but more than its nice design, the positioning and product are interesting.

The official presentation took place on the Apeldoorn Concours d'Elegance on 2014, 21 June.

This is the very first Carice (hence the designation), a electrical Dutch convertible with retro lines inspired by the Porsche Speedster 550 and 356.

The body of Carice Mk1 is entirely made of plastic which obviously help the overall weight down. Put the solar beater on the scale and the needle would indicate less than 350 kg (including the battery pack). Other sales strengths? An ideal 50:50 weight distribution and the fact that only Carice 10 Mk1's will be build.

You have it with 20 or 54hp and there's even a Junior Version 5.4 HP (16 year olds) without driving license. The Dutch company requires at least € 26,620 per copy (including taxes), and there are more euros in if the buyer wants, several battery packs are available as well as a range-extender in the form of a small gasoline engine or even a hydrogen version will be offered.

Few information on the specs of this Carice Mk1 but an important one about weight: 350kg only (battery included) for this little roadster! This advantage allows it to provide sensations announced as comparable to those of a sports car with little power.

The only reason for me to add this is because it's Greek. Image

Rossion Q1 '08
Rossion Q1.jpg
The Rossion Q1 is a sports car from US car maker Rossion Automotive. It is based on the Noble M400. Founders Ian Grunes and Dean Rosen began development on the Rossion Q1 after acquiring the rights to the Noble M400 in February 2007. Their goal was to design a completely new car fusing the sporty strengths of the M400 with luxurious appointments.

The Rossion Q1 has a max power of 450 hp at 5800 rpm, with a torque figure of 390 lb·ft at 4400 rpm. It has a power-to-weight ratio of 418 hp/ton. It reaches 0 - 100 km;h) in 3.1 seconds, and has a top speed of 304 km/h. As with the Noble M400, the Rossion uses a mid-mounted, transverse, twin turbocharged V6 Ford Duratec engine.

The body for the Q1 has been redesigned with a new front end, large integrated air intakes, and ram air side window ducts. A rear diffuser in conjunction with the flat under tray creates downforce on the chassis, for high speed grip and stability. Other improvements over the M400 include power windows, remote power side mirrors, and center mounted wide screen entertainment system. Based on the Rossion website the Rossion Q1 will be available 17 different body colors, named and coordinated for national racing colors and famous race circuits around the world. The interior has also been redesigned to be intuitive and comfortable but without extraneous features.

Brokernet Silver Sting '06
Brokernet Silver Sting '06.jpg
Hungary, located in central Europe, is not known for anything related to the automotive world. Come to think of it, we have no idea what they are known for at all, but a few car nuts are trying to change all that. You can now say that a very special sports car is made in Hungary and that it’s pretty darn good looking as well.

The Brokernet Silver Sting was thought of and built by international GT racer, Kalman Bodis. The team at Bovi Motorsports had the car fully operational for its debut in 2006 at the Luxusauto Show in Budapest, Hungary. One of the coolest parts of this car is its name, Silver Sting, but what’s the Brokernet all about? Creating a car that takes seven years to design and build is expensive and the Hungarian financial firm Brokernet is the main sponsor, thus they wanted some naming rights as well.

This car is not only stunningly designed by Zoltan Peredy, but also downright ferocious on the track. Being built by a race car driver, intentions for the Silver Sting were clear. This car was not meant to be taken to elegant car shows, it was meant to get out there and race. Bodis plans to use this car in various GT races throughout the world and plans to show everyone that Hungary is capable of producing a world class car.

The heart of the Brokernet Silver Sting is under the hood where a Porsche sourced 3.6-liter flat six from the 911 GT3 serves as the powerplant. This engine is something to behold and it makes 432hp at 7,000rpm and 437 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Most impressive in the Silver Sting is the use of lightweight materials that bring its curb weight down to 1.100 kg.

Arash AF8 '14
Arash AF8 '14.jpg
The exterior of the new Arash AF8 has been created to move the design of the company forward while paying homage to its past. The front of the car is shaped to similar to the original Farboud GT, while the aerodynamics and some cooling features are based on the progress made with the AF10.

The actual shape is traditional for a mid-engined supercar. The cockpit is slightly forward, the overhangs are unbelievably short and the rear is dominated by the engine bay. These proportions may have started their development with the Lamborghini Miura in the ‘60s, but they still look great today.

Power still comes from a GM-sourced, LS7 7.0-liter V-8 that produces 550 horsepower; Thanks to the AF8’s low weight, this V-8 can blast the car to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, and carry the car to a top speed of 322 km/h. Shifting duties are handled by an old-school, three-pedal manual with six forward cogs.
