TDU2 Connection Setup
Worked like a charm guys Thanks. Though I did have to turn of UPnP as well but they had fun chasing daddy in the cop cars after I rammed a cop or two. Though now the game thinks i'm running the dlc hack and its gotten rid of all my bought dlcs and given me Miami's fast back :/ just verified my files cause I have the steam version and if found errors so I'll see how i go.
Make sure to make a backup of your save game on a regular base.Ekythump wrote:YAY now I've lost all my DLC cars. anyone remember if there was a fix for this ?
The DLC getting "Pinked" was originally implemented by Atari to punish those who illegally unlocked the DLC and therefore stole the content. Unfortunately honest players are confronted with these measures now, making Atari do what they do best, look like a fool.
If you do not have a backup of your save game and keep getting these issues, send in a support ticket. Atari support should still be active. Don't know if they can fix it, once you got Pinked.
PS Good to hear the multiplayer works if you disable the port 8889. Funny how you can get a game working by doing the exact opposite the devs advised, lol

Hey there guys,
I've always had issues to get an OpenFullcone connection on ány PC game out there, as my former provider (we just switched 6 days ago due to some reason) didn't allow forwarding ports and when we got a new modem where portforwarding was allowed, it simply didn't work.
Now, I've tried several things to solve this issue, from opensource firmware called DD-WRT, to bruteforcing my own router / connection and help from several IT prof's.
Nothing seemed to work at all. until I came across a piece of software called:
- uPnP Wizard.
It's a fairly easy to use program in which you can define a port to be opened, even when your router doesn't allow it.
It works on the installed PC only, so you need to install and run the software on any computer on your network if necessary.
Click on the link below to download:
Burpety Burp
When the program's ready to run, click on the + mark, add a port (choose UDP or TCP) and start up your game. Do NOT run the games you are having issues with before running this software, otherwise it doesn't work.
So, for TDU2, you will need UDP 8889 to add.
Have fun trying it out, it works like a charm !!
Cheers,
Jax

I have manually configured ports 8889 and 3478 for TDU2 on one PC and use Upnp on another through routers etc. and always was able to get a green connection on both. However sometimes it turns red or orange for no reason. Restarting TDU usually does the trick.
I have seen many topics about people struggling with connections in TDU2 and AFAIK it is the only game i had that caused so much issues for lots of players.
Patrice Beranger, one of the Eden devs made a topic about it and even after that there were still players with issues.
I guess it all has to do with the kind of setup you have and the complexity of it.
Nice to see another solution for these probs.

Yes, and that can cause some issues in lobbies or at poker tables for example. Some don't care, don't bother or don't even know how to do it.snake250 wrote:
PS is it true that a lot of people play on yellow and red nat?
And TBH you should not have to configure all kinds of settings just to run one game properly IMO

Atari should make a system that you need to play on green nat to play tdu2. it would be easier to play "follow the leader" and "Casino"
nathan is a mexican!!
