So you only gained 12 mhz by the custom fan profile, have you tried pushing it further? And how are the temps looking ?

I have not done manually OC yet. This is all automated OC from the card.
Temps were showing some weird values. Maybe Afterburner is not reading it right as it read over 100 degrees at some point. I'm pretty sure the threshold is 84, before it starts to clock down. But i won't push it. I will look into it more deeply tomorrow.
BTW, my base values for GFX only scores were slightly above the ones from Jay.
I might checkout the EVGA software.
BTW, your GTX970 runs at 1550, mine at a measly 1290. That is a huge difference. And the 4790K has hyperthreading as well. And i ran the 6600K at a stock 3.5Ghz. So all considering not too bad score. But you see the huge performance gains you can get with some clever OC. Unfortunately a HTPC is not suitable for massive OC, as it is meant to run silent.

I downloaded the new MSI Afterburner beta (4.3) and did some mild OC with it. Very easy to use.

Nice 300 points bump in performance with the Titan X OC at 2.000Mhz
Temps just hit the 80 mark during this run with custom fan profile.
There is a lot of hidden potential in this card. I won't push it further now, as i don't need the extra parformance. Watercooling will unleash the beast later
Edit: ran some other benches as well. CPU was holding back a bit now. Still a noticable improvement there.

Fan speed never exceeded 80% in these runs and during Firestrike the GPU went up to 75 degrees.

Of yeah for sure it will be a whole different card once it gets watercooled and you bump it to about 2050 who knows might go over 2100 mhz, but Jay alraedy proved thisMadManCK wrote:There is a lot of hidden potential in this card. Cool, btw overclocking the memory abit might be the real key to making it faster as memory bandwidth is all that makes for the Pascal cards, as their clock rates are so high the memory is the weak link. maybe check what 1080 owners have OC'ed their GDDR5X ram chips to
Maybe i'll do a mild OC on the mem, like 10.500 or something like that, tomorrow or later this week. I can set the cooler to run at 100%. 2.050Mhz might be possible on the GPU. But i really don't need it right now. And i can not unlock the full potential on this platform yet. But it is good to know it likes to perform. These cards are monsters.
PS Even if it states 2.000Mhz, most of the tests it ran at around 1.950 or so. The 2K is a peak score.
I have seen the results from Guru3D. Has a nice OC Guide as well.

Mild OC on the Mem did indeed improve scores immediately. Just 250Mhz (10.500)

This where i'm at right now with my overclock, it is tricky to overclock and it keeps trottling itself after it reaches 60*c+ and then it just downclocks itself so i have to play some more with it to understand how it works.
By chance the seller wrote to me to see how i liked it, and then he suggested i try his overclock of +65 mhz core and +425 mhz memory, aggressive fan preset og and power limit to 122% and +100% voltage, and that did the trick, now the card is happy to run at 2025 mhz even when it is hot, but i doubt this a golden sample card and it needs so much voltage to overclock, but a custom BIOS flash might improve it or a waterblock with keep the card in its optimal thermal window for 30-50*c, as the card keeps trottling itself even at 61*c it is downclocking so it really needs a bypass custom BIOS to get rid of that thermal limit.
But never the less impressive performance over just under the 16K mark, with it's 15930 Firestrike score and 20344 graphics score with is pretty decent, but i need more voltage to make use of the 10 phase power delivery to get a better core clock as 2062 mhz is not what i'm after.
