Finally got a new HTC One M8, best price I could find sim free was Phones 4 you £519+£10 for a new sim card
Guess I won't be leaving this one laying around for thieves to nick.

Yes but they turned the phone off (I tried ringing it as soon as I realised it was gone)
I was then advised to ring up and get the phone and sim locked as soon as possible as I would be libel for any phone calls made from it and as it was in another country they could of racked up a large bill.

Also it was obvious they had no intention of returning the phone by now or they would of left it on and answered the calls, so I decided to cut my losses and had the sim disconnected and the phone locked.
They will probably get some wiz kid to unlock it or just sell it on, ether way by getting it locked it will of hopefully reduced the value of the phone.

The only thing I can't replace are all the photos that were on the SD card, including some personal family photos I cant replace.( the sad thing is I tried backing up all my photos to the cloud on the afternoon before the phone was nicked but the Wi-Fi in the hotel was crap and I couldn't get a stable connection so it failed)

Btw why not use Dropbox to sync you files and photos from your mobile, tablet and pc

I have Google drive set up but like I said earlier couldn't get a decent Wi-Fi connection to use it on holiday.

Isn't there an app that allows you to lock the phone through its IMEI number if it gets stolen. It renders the phone uesless.
