Yea I know what you mean but maybe the different Spec that each one is unlocked under is a hint at a specialisation in that field, just an idea.

Crocodiles in the South after purchasing the first Perf Spec (in Miami).
Snakes in the Mountain States after purchasing the first Raid Spec (in Las Vegas).
Bears in the West after purchasing the first Circuit Spec (in Los Angeles).

But still a lot of info here and lots of interesting stuff to think about if you want to get the maximum benefits each month.

Better late than nothing, i suppose..

That faction system looks like a nice extension of the local circles.
It will be interesting to see if you can do things for multiple factions, or advance in rankings within those factions as well.

It would have been nice if parts of the faction system were in the Beta.

We'll see what other surprises are left at release. Probably a lot more than we think.

I asked Ivory for info about this subject before the summer...

I've also been asking for info on the factions for a wile now, but as we know they only give out what they want when they want.
But I did ask them for some Hi Res photos of the factions a few days ago and now I have some, whether this is a coincidence or not I don't know.

This feature looks really promising. Hoping that in implementation it's as good as it sounds.

It's nice to see that they took the time to develop a "progression" system that is basically never ending, as in it's a constant month to month competition between players. I hope there are other features that have a lot of re playability.

My only concern with features like this is cheating could totally ruin the entire system. Hopefully they have the game set up so the dedicated servers have enough control over save data, car dynamics settings and event results that cheating will be nigh impossible. From what little I've read about the networking in the game this doesn't seem to be the case though. Seems like it is peer 2 peer with client as host for the missions/events/whatever they are called.

Well I do know all the save game data will be stored server side (this is one of the reasons you must be on line to play) so this should go a long way to stopping the cheating.
However cheaters/hackers are do find ways around these thing so lets hope they keep on top of it.

Ivory Tower have decided to change the name of one of the Factions from Alligators to Crocodiles
Because of this I will have to reset the forum icons for the Factions so I can change the names, unfortunately this will mean anyone using a Faction icon will have to re-select one.
The good news is (depending if you like them or not ) I have designed three more icon sets for you to pick from.
Obviously they will not all be to everyone's taste so just pick one from the set you like best to use in your profile.
The sets range from the basic to the colourful (the only difference between the two colour ones is one has a border) plus I have also included the original ones [attachment=0]Factions.jpg[/attachment] I am still a bit unsure about having different icons for the same factions (might look confusing on the forum) on the other hand choice is never a bad thing.
Anyway if enough of you think we should only have one set of icons I will set up a poll to decide.

Yea I know, the problem I am trying to avoid is if I give them descriptive names like Wolves_set3 Colour that's the name that would show up when you hover over the icon.
I could just call them ......Set1.......Set2 but it still doesn't help, will think on it in the mean time just pick one and see if you like it if not just change it.

Ok fixed the typo's, spelling mistakes and typo's are my speciality.
Still haven't decided what to do about the naming of the icons.
