If you tear it down, it comes down to a few things.
Switching to an SSD to load the game from, solves it for most.
But it can also still be network or connection related. Do you experience the map issues when you play alone as well?
A file integrity check or fresh install can also solve some "left behind" issues.

I run The Crew on an OC CPU and only experienced the map loading issues during the Beta. These were server connection related. Other issues appeared due to bad optimization of the graphics. But that has had an overhaul.

It can be a sync issue. So the OC can play a role. The Crew has a tendency to act weird on a lot of things.
So more than just looking at the CPU or MEM OC, you have to make sure they relate to each other in solid numbers. Like 2:3 or 1:2. FSB to DRAM should also be a solid number. Sounds crazy, right :P

So the most important question; are the map loading issues still present today?
I do not see many new players having these problems.

@Whoamus; welcome back to The Crew.
Rain is indeed over used. Especially in areas where it should not rain at all. The IT devs do not totally grasp the "less is more" concept in that regard. Rain should be a feature. It is especially annoying during Summit events or other competitions, like ours.

They have already toned down the glare on my request, as it was even worse in the beginning. Balancing is key. It appears that they overuse new gimmicks, once they become available.

Maybe there should be more graphics settings to customize visuals for each screen.
Well i still get the odd map glitch i slam into a unrendered zone of the game map and then i have to reset, but if i'm an outlaw in a police chase then i can't reset and have to abort escape event, so it still bothers me abit.

But running the CPU stock also have other perks like a 10*c idle temp drop, yep 10 !! The overclock must have kept it running high or just at more voltage, but the PC's performance seems to be the same, granted it is really 200 mhz it got lowered.

I will update once i get to try it and see if i find any glitches or just the other loading bugs.

If your CPU is that much hotter for just 200Mhz, there is something wrong. I do know that ASUS Mobos often use way too much overvolting. More than needed.

Try to let your memory run at exact 2.000Mhz and the CPU at 4.000Mhz, see what happens. In the past i had some games that ran more stable and at similar fps speeds by doing that.

Could be, i did notice it, but i had to set a custom voltage to get the CPU to decent at 4,6 ghz as ASUS mobo control would had it with 1,350+ volts and i ran it at 1,275v.

Could try the other clock speeds but now i'm trying out the stock clock for now.

I always get suspicious when a helpdesk or CS gives the advice to reinstall Windows.
It is usually their way of saying they do not know
However, W10 updates have solved a lot of gaming issues so far.

It is simply not as well optimized as W8.1 was. But we need it for all future MS related XB1 games.

[quote="MadManCK"]I made a poll on Ubi forum to get rid of the excessive rain that is a plague now in The Crew/quote]

I voted to reduce the rain but today I took a final drive around and probably will not play for a while if ever. Packed my wheel back in the box (yes, I keep the original box for everything until it is broken). The game is okay but just not enough to keep me interested. Not a competitive player nor do the police chases thrill me so I never bought the expansions. So many other games that I find more to my liking so not going to bother with this unless I really get an urge to just drive around.

That said, I read with interest the possibility of a TDU3. That was more to my liking for so many reasons. An avatar of your own making, the casino which gave you something to do and a place to socialize when driving got boring, a more intimate area for driving/cruising, a house vs a headquarters. The world in The Crew is nice but I think it lacks personality like TDU's islands to drive around. I still visit this forum and keep an eye on certain threads but the chances of seeing me play this game again are pretty slim.

And that nails it. Somehow it does not grab you like TDU does.
Never did they even try to make an attempt to change that either.

In addition it is hard to hook up for crew stuff. That is still not fixed. Sometimes Crew connections are terminated during an event.
Makes you wonder why i still try to improve that game by giving constructive feedback.

Maybe we do need Nolan Bushnel or another Gaming Kingpin to get a new project starting.

Before you could barely get a crate run going in a crew. So that is a good thing i guess. But the Crew leader has to accept the invite for all to join now.

Today i was able to drive a new WR on Slalom Skill 19. It has been a while since i actually went for it. Usually i only do all events once. Only the Crew related stuff more times.

Unlike my previous attempts on skill records, i did not forget to use the Shadowplay this time.

Video soon®
