Well i still get the odd map glitch i slam into a unrendered zone of the game map and then i have to reset, but if i'm an outlaw in a police chase then i can't reset and have to abort escape event, so it still bothers me abit.MadManCK wrote:I have seen more "solutions" for the map loading issue in The Crew, than for the Middle East Conflicts.
If you tear it down, it comes down to a few things.
Switching to an SSD to load the game from, solves it for most.
But it can also still be network or connection related. Do you experience the map issues when you play alone as well?
A file integrity check or fresh install can also solve some "left behind" issues.
I run The Crew on an OC CPU and only experienced the map loading issues during the Beta. These were server connection related. Other issues appeared due to bad optimization of the graphics. But that has had an overhaul.
It can be a sync issue. So the OC can play a role. The Crew has a tendency to act weird on a lot of things.
So more than just looking at the CPU or MEM OC, you have to make sure they relate to each other in solid numbers. Like 2:3 or 1:2. FSB to DRAM should also be a solid number. Sounds crazy, right
So the most important question; are the map loading issues still present today?
I do not see many new players having these problems.
@Whoamus; welcome back to The Crew.
Rain is indeed over used. Especially in areas where it should not rain at all. The IT devs do not totally grasp the "less is more" concept in that regard. Rain should be a feature. It is especially annoying during Summit events or other competitions, like ours.
They have already toned down the glare on my request, as it was even worse in the beginning. Balancing is key. It appears that they overuse new gimmicks, once they become available.
Maybe there should be more graphics settings to customize visuals for each screen.
But running the CPU stock also have other perks like a 10*c idle temp drop, yep 10 !! The overclock must have kept it running high or just at more voltage, but the PC's performance seems to be the same, granted it is really 200 mhz it got lowered.
I will update once i get to try it and see if i find any glitches or just the other loading bugs.
