I just want to point out that they may have been using a test-road that may not actually be in the game's map. I mean, it was one long strip of road with fairly unimpressive textures that passed straight through the middle of a town with no intersections! I would bet that the official map will be more detailed than this. Also, if this company has enough money to license Mclaren and BMW, and probably many other cars and brands, I would also bet that they wouldn't skimp on the environment quality. On another note, being that the physics range from arcade to "simulation," I wonder how the sim mode will compare to top quality sims.

Good point, I hadn't thought of that.

When ElectroPhantom forums go live, we should make a list on what we want from the game early on while it's still in Alpha, we can make a difference.

Edit:

Essentials:

1. Photo Mode
2. Custom Radio
3. Sticker Shop
4. Dynamic Weather, Day/Night Cycle
5. Character Creation (Avatar) able to walk around.
6. Player Housing (Garages, mansions)
7. Working Mirrors (details matter!)
8. Steering Wheel Support!
9. Casino? (Haha, maybe I'm just asking for a tdu2 reboot, however I didn't care much for the Casino in tdu2 but many other people seem to love it.)

Basically what Test Drive Unlimited had, it did it right, people loved it! Why not build upon it and improve? The Romans borrowed from the Greeks, it's what made them even greater! :o

lots of things on that list that I would like to see in this game but don't get your hopes up as I think this will be more like Need for Speed than TDU. :( (someone prove me wrong please  )

Yeah, Bez is probably right about it leaning more towards Need for Speed, which means I may not get it (I still have a lot to explore in The Crew anyway!) But being that they are pretty close to release, and we haven't heard very much about the game, I have a hard time believing that much will change from the demo video we saw. I mean, the visuals were...okay. The physics looked fun, and for the fact that they have arcade and sim physics, I certainly have nothing to complain about there! But if they have limited customization and a restricted "open world," it probably won't work too well for me. But the fact that they have a garage system, or at least I assume because of the pictures and videos of cars in a TDU2-style garage, that could be a good feature to have! And I still really want to see them succeed! I am always open to seeing new IPs show up in the racing genre.

The game hints at some sort of career mode "drive as fast as possible and become a professional driver" but also gives you the opportunity to "or just enjoy yourself driving your dream car. YOU ARE IN CONTROL"

I also noticed how they have capitalised the word unlimited in the description "UNLIMITED driving experience" is this a reference to TDU, maybe or maybe I'm reading too much into it. :P

The game also describes driving on lots of different road conditions so this should mean off-road but if this just means dirt race tracks or going totally off-road is not made clear as yet. :?

It does state "Day and night cycle" and "Dynamic Weather" both good points :D but no mention of any stick or paint as yet. :(

The mention of "hot pursuit" also suggests police cars in the game but one thing I noticed in the demo was it had no traffic, I know it's just a demo but they have been working on it for some time now and I would of thought that would of been in the game by now but again this was just a demo and I am probably just over analysing things. :|

As for this statement from grooks10 "But being that they are pretty close to release, and we haven't heard very much about the game" he makes an interesting point, this game is only 7 months from release (if we believe the dates in the video) and we know very little about it yet. :o
If they don't step up the hype train in the next month or so I will start to think this may not be the AAA game they are making it out to be.

The closer and closer we get to release, the more doubts I have about this game. I mean, their website hasn't been updated since they posted that gameplay video, and I can't find any other info anywhere. I mean, all I can do is wait, but for such a (supposedly) huge game that is also a new IP, I would expect them to put a lot more effort into marketing and publicizing the game. I'll just keep my eyes open for now.

Speed Elixir and Forza Horizon 3 for Windows 10 are the two games on my watch list right now. When something is posted about them, I get EXCITED! :D Hopefully Electro Phantom is hard at work. I at least expect up to date graphics and visuals, the car models look great but the biggest criticism and a let down for me would be the environment visuals. What good would it do if the environment looks shit compared to the great car models/visuals, it's 2016, c'mon!

Forza Horizon 3 on the other hand, looks a lot more visually appealing.
