Ok, so the power where I live kept turning on and off because of the stupid, dumb, idiotic wind. I was playing UMvC3 and I decided to save it before the power went off again. Of course, right when I did this, the power went off! When the power came back on, my save was corrupted and now I have to start over again. I'm really annoyed and mad. I was a 9th Lord, it took a lot of hard work IMO to get to it, and now everything's gone and I'm a noob.

Hasn't happened to me because I have my PC on a battery backup. Gives me plenty of time to save and shutdown my running programs. A $50 one will give you about 10 minutes more or less depending on your load.

Also, back up your savegame on a regular basis! Put it on a different drive or even a usb flash drive for safekeeping. Problem solved.
