I'd personally put mine in California if we're going with a street racing theme or Southern Europe for a TDU style game.

Call Fergus and ask him to "scale" map the whole World. Off world tracks are optional

How about we drop cars altogether and make it an open world spaceship racing game that takes place throughout the whole universe, sound good? :loll:

I'd go for Germany or Japan, primarily because of the landscape and roads. Image

Japan could be a problem however, the main focus of the game would certainly become Japanese cars and that's a problem since certain bitchass manufacturers don't like bein' associated with illegal street racing, Honda and Toyota for example. Of course that can be fixed somehow by havin' some sort of festival with legal races, I guess tha's how Forza Horizon got Hondas in the game, but then the problem would be the "drive on the wrong side of the road."

I don't have any problems with that, my playthrough of Sleeping Dogs was pretty good, the only thing I kept mistakin' all the time was that the steering wheel is on the right side, so I always entered the cars through the passenger's door. Image

With all of this, Germany becomes the most "perfect" option, since they don't drive on the left and since it's not USA! weee :woot: Sorry, I'm just always dreamin' of a free roam game that does not take place in the USA, I'm just tired of it. Image

And don't forget, with Germany you can have beautiful landscape, snow, autobahn, Nürburgring and lots of Porsches RUFs. :P Shut up Porsche purists, RUF > Porsche.

No, as you can not complain about handling and physics than. Unless you have a space racer in your backyard.
In addition to that there would most certainly be an instant blackhole cheat :loll:

Especially when it comes to licensing in games. I think a lot of the popularity of RUF is coming from games.

Haha, there is a bike mod too. :auto-dirtbike:

I once had the idea of adding a Skyrim based Island to TDU2, as they are both made with Havok

Southern Brazil. :laughing-rolling:

The states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná and Rio de Janeiro together on a scale of 1:1 (with a very very small portion of São Paulo to have a big highway that connects Paraná and Rio J.). This way I can have tropical seaside roads, big cities, snow (at the regions of high altitude on Paraná) and crazy mountain roads (interior of Rio de Janeiro) similar to those used in this thing of Touge/JDM.

That's actually pretty good. But I think that for it to be perfect while tryin' to maintain its size due to the limitations of the hardwares of nowadays, northern Argentina and Uruguay should be added in, the landscape of these are also impressive and IMO your map (with my little improvement) is the only one that could rival the entire country of Germany bein' used. Yeah, why not? Has anyone ever played a racing game with an open world feature that does not take place in the United States or, as seen recently, some European country with an unrevealed name (FH2)?

For your "big highway" to exist you would need a considerable amount of São Paulo on the map, including the capital city. From what I know, if you want to access the coastline of both SP and RJ you'll need to pass through the São Paulo city, once you get out of the city you will see perhaps one of the most beautiful highways of the southern states, that if the fog doesn't end up spoiling your sight.
