Recovering your Atari.com Account Name / User Name and or Password
Posted by Joseph Paolinelli on 13 October 2011 01:35 PM
The name you use to log into the website and the game is your 'Account Name', also sometimes called a 'User Name' or 'Login'. This is a different thing from your 'Handle'/ 'Nickname', which is the display name other users can see in-game or on the forums.

To recover your Atari Account name, select the appropriate link from the list below:

Account Recovery Links:

Atari.com Account: http://www.atari.com/user/accountname
Test Drive Unlimited 2 Account: https://www.testdriveunlimited2.com/user/accountname

Simply click the link that best applies to you and enter your email address; an email will be generated for you with your 'Account Name'. Some email providers may incorrectly categorize these emails as ""spam""; be sure to check your email junk/spam folder if your email is not delivered in a timely manner.

If you have forgotten the password for your Atari Account you may use the links below to reset it:

Forgotten Password Links:

Atari.com: https://www.atari.com/user/password
Test Drive Unlimited 2: https://www.testdriveunlimited2.com/user/password

If you do not have access to the email address associated to your Atari.com account, you may need to create a Support Ticket for assistance by clicking the 'Submit a ticket' link below.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 Server Status Notification

Can I play with others who play on different platforms?
I have a NAT Warning, what does this mean?
Troubleshooting Suggestions

Test Drive Unlimited 2 Server Status Notification

Once you start Test Drive Unlimited 2 the game client patcher will appear and make any needed updates. On this patcher is a 'green dot' and a text notification letting you know servers are up. If this dot is showing as 'red', it means online play is currently unavailable.

Even if the servers are down, single player racing action remains available for your automotive enjoyment.

What router ports does Test Drive Unlimited 2 use?

Test Drive Unlimited 2 uses the UDP ports 8889 and 3478 to communicate with servers and other players. For a post with more specific information about how these ports are used, take a look at this forum post: http://forums.testdriveunlimited2.com/s ... ostcount=2

Please refer to your hardware documentation for help with configuring these ports. You may need to contact your System Administrator if you are behind a university or other large system firewall.

Can I play with others who play on different platforms?

Online play does not cross multiple platforms. If you are playing on PC, you cannot play with Xbox 360 users, XBox360 users cannot play with PS3 users and so on. You still may play with the thousands of players who are using the same platform that you chose, you just can't cross platform boundaries.

I have a NAT Warning, what does this mean?

When you have a NAT warning, you might experience the following symptoms:

You cannot hear a certain a player within a game or someone cannot hear you.
You cannot join a party or your friend cannot join your party.

If your NAT type setting is Strict (or Moderate), you and other people on networks with similar restrictive settings may not be able to join certain games or hear other people while playing online. For information about NAT settings and altering these settings, take a look at this forum post: http://forums.testdriveunlimited2.com/s ... ostcount=1

Troubleshooting Suggestions

Some general troubleshooting basics:

If you haven't restarted your PC in a while, it's always a good idea to try that first.
Make certain that your internet connection is active.
If you are behind a Firewall, double check that you opened ports 8889 and 3478.
Remember that a Broadband Internet Connection is required.
Check the Test Drive Unlimited 2 forum to see if a Server Maintenance has been announced http://forums.testdriveunlimited2.com/
Turn off other programs that may be demanding the majority of your bandwidth, such as bit torrent or downloading large files.
If issues continue, try disabling all programs which may depend on internet connectivity and use that bandwidth.

Be certain that your Controller is connected securely; often controllers will become loose during play
If you have multiple Controllers installed, and are experiencing conflicts, you may want to disconnect or uninstall the controllers which you do not wish to use
Test Drive Unlimited 2 has in game device adjustment in the Controller Configurations, this may be reached through the Options Menu, and may help resolve certain controller issues
If the controller has its own application or profiler used to control the device, then try two things:
Try recalibrating it in the controller application
Try disabling the controller application so the default Windows calibration takes over

Test Drive Unlimited 2 supports the following Game Controllers for the PC. They are setup with a default configuration:

GamePads

Steering Wheels

To switch from Keyboard controls to one of the game controllers, go to the Controls section in the options menu, select the button Detect Device, and scroll through the options to select and validate your device.

While other controllers may have functionality with Test Drive Unlimited 2, they have not been fully tested and while our support may try to assist you with other controllers, we officially only support those listed above.

Lol, it would be something if they started to sell Atari Communications equipment. On the other hand, if you want complete radio silence... :laughing-rolling:

Most of the old support and forum are gone now.
But support tickets should still work.

Link is in the other thread.
