Kind of agree.

It's nice when someone use this one to show some sort of news but when it's a video it's just a waste of time and space (I can't even watch videos with sound).

This is a very interesting development. I always wondered if it was possible to do. In theory you can open a valve with an electro magnetic pulse and close with pneumatics. So electro-pneumatic valves can be done.

But to bring the theory into practice takes someone like Christian Von Koenigsegg to get it done. This engine will probably operate a bit different as i just described, but the basic idea is similar.

It will give much more control over the way the engine can "breathe". You can mimic 12 different cams for example. Eat that, Vtec.
It needs a special trimmed operating system for the engine management. And you will be able to adjust settings for relative height to sea level (air density), air composition, fuel composition, diveability, aggression and a lot more.

It will also greatly reduce fuel consumption and emissions. And the engine will be lighter and smaller due to the absence of the camshafts.

It is good to see they are now in the production phase of development. I expect a lot of this.

If this thread continue being used as an endless pit for random car videos and every time someone bring this topic back on MMCK comment on one of the random videos just to cool down the heat and try to avoid the issue, then yes, it was a complete mistake.
