It looks like we have a little bit of footage of snow driving! I'll be honest though, it looks like the car has a bit too much grip on the snow. I feel like it should be slipping around more on a slippery, cold road surface with cold tyres. But then again, I would need to get my hands on it before making any serious judgments.

Thats one way to drive at Austin, Texas :D

The snow driving is at the RB Ring in Austria. I agree on the snowy traction, but with snow tires you can have that kind of grip. Braking and traction appeared too be stronger than real life though.

EDIT; after careful evaluation of that snow driving footage, i think it is pretty good. The driver carefully avoids high revs and therefore spinning tires. He does so at the end and immediately loses control of the car. Also braking is applied with little force. Driving a Caterham in the snow is a tricky adventure anyway.

I would really want to get VR equipment just for this game. I mean being able to walk around the car like at the start of this video would be so cool!

This video shows not the best driver behind the wheel, but a journalist, who previously had driven with the same car. To show the amount of realism in the game.

So far i read mixed reviews about pCars2.

It appears that some cars got more love from the devs than others. That makes the game inconsistent. Where there is a lot of realism and detail in driving some of these cars, others are "undriveable" they say. Or numb.

Also that the early press demos had different handling than the release version. At least on the consoles.

The "some cars drive better than others" was already known, as not every brand did send in specialists from the factory, like McLaren did. But they had some very experienced racing and test drivers giving feedback.

I have activated my deluxe version and will give it a go on my temporary rig soon®. Time has gone bye quickly.
But Slightly Mad should be more careful with their releases. Some bugs should be fixed before you even think of giving it a "gold" status. Especially server bugs. Ruining online play can kill a game quickly.

I will keep an eye on developments and post a simple offline race with a GT car here soon®. Without driving assists and with "raw" FFB settings. This wheel might react a bit different with pCars.

I bet these journalists used a controller or badly configured wheel. I do remeber that it took me quite a while to set it up properly.
And that is not a good thing. pCars1 was good to drive out of the box. SMS should know by now, that a lot of players are too lazy to do a good setup. And on consoles you have limited options to adjust settings. Wheel support should be top notch from the start.

I can not give feedback about console versions. PC only here.
