But you can not buy powerfull AM3 socket CPUs new. At least not here. Only some simple models.
Best option is to swap the MB for a new one with a fresh CPU as well. That GTX 680 can run every game at max on Full HD 1080p.
And if that is not an option the swap for a quad core seems the most logical solution. If you can get a good one. Second hand can be risky as these models have most likely been overclocked.
But for The Crew, quad core is the way to go. That is what they advise anyway.

No problem we're happy to help out
Good then you have your answer just get one of the I5's, you won't regret it

Nice score for a low-power cpu

The wipe doesn´t interest me because i haven´t played the last beta a lot.I did not finished the first mission. But next week i got my new pc and then it should work.
Or what do you mean to this configuration:
CPU:I5 4690 Quad-Core 3.5 GhZ,Turbo 3.9 GhZ (Intel HD Graphics 4600)
GPU:Gigabyte GTX 660 Overclocked 2 GB GDDR5
Motherboard:ASUS Z97-K,Socket 1150 (The new Z97 chipset)
RAM:2x 4GB Kingston HyperX 1600 MHz DDR3
Power Supply:Super Flower Amazon 80Plus 550 W
Case:Zalman Z9 Plus Midi Tower
HDD:Toshiba DT01ACA Series 1TB
Drive:ASUS DRW-24F1ST (Bulk) Silent
OS:Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
This should be enough power to run it on ultra or?

Enough to run on High settings. I played on ultra for a while with a GTX660Ti, but that sometimes dropped under 30FPS, making it unplayable in races. I had to revert to high to finish the Canyon Derby near Las Vegas.
You will need a GTX780 or similar to run the game on Ultra everywhere.
And it looks awesome on Ultra

Okay. But high is enough for me.827 € for that pc is not less money.
Thats better than my hardware and I was able to play as smooth as silk with ultra settingsThaddeus201 wrote:The wipe doesn´t interest me because i haven´t played the last beta a lot.I did not finished the first mission. But next week i got my new pc and then it should work.

Case : Fractal Design Define R4
CPU : Intel Core I5 760 @ 3.6GHZ 1.2V
GPU : Palit GTX680 @ 1202MHz
Motherboard : Asus Maximus III Gene
RAM : 8GIG Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600mhz
Power Supply :Corsair HX1000
Monitor : BenQ XL2411Z 144Hz 1080P
Soundcard : Asus Xonar D2
Speakers : Logitech Z906
Also during the first Beta I didnt realise my CPU wasn't overclocked and was running at the stock 2.8GHz and the game still ran as smooth as silk but I had motion blur and DOF turned off because I dont like those effects. I done a bios reset before I got access to the beta because I was having trouble with the bios auto detecting my Harddrives and SSD. It turned out that I had a HDD that was dying so Im back to 3.6GHz.

A GTX660 (non Ti) is less powerfull than a GTX680.

GeForce GTX 660 vs Geforce GTX 680
Intro
The GeForce GTX 660 makes use of a 28 nm design. nVidia has clocked the core speed at 980 MHz. The GDDR5 RAM is set to run at a speed of 1502 MHz on this specific card. It features 960 SPUs as well as 80 TAUs and 24 ROPs.
Compare those specs to the Geforce GTX 680, which comes with GPU core speed of 1006 MHz, and 2048 MB of GDDR5 memory set to run at 1502 MHz through a 256-bit bus. It also is made up of 1536 Stream Processors, 128 Texture Address Units, and 32 Raster Operation Units.
(No game benchmarks for this combination yet.)
Power Usage and Theoretical Benchmarks
Power Consumption (Max TDP)
GeForce GTX 660 140 Watts
Geforce GTX 680 195 Watts
Difference: 55 Watts (39%)
Memory Bandwidth
The Geforce GTX 680, in theory, should be much faster than the GeForce GTX 660 overall. (explain)
Geforce GTX 680 192256 MB/sec
GeForce GTX 660 144192 MB/sec
Difference: 48064 (33%)
Texel Rate
The Geforce GTX 680 is quite a bit (about 64%) more effective at anisotropic filtering than the GeForce GTX 660. (explain)
Geforce GTX 680 128768 Mtexels/sec
GeForce GTX 660 78400 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 50368 (64%)
Pixel Rate
The Geforce GTX 680 should be quite a bit (about 37%) more effective at FSAA than the GeForce GTX 660, and able to handle higher screen resolutions without losing too much performance. (explain)
Geforce GTX 680 32192 Mpixels/sec
GeForce GTX 660 23520 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 8672 (37%)
Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.
You have to remember that this is a beta and wont be as well optmized as the final versionMadManCK wrote:Enough to run on High settings.
