Inter-Island Sessions Bug

Well, well...just when you thought you'd seen everything in TDU2, some weird new phenomena rears its ugly head. This Saturday afternoon, my clubmate, Reavan, and I tried to join a third clubmate in Ibiza, but when doing so, he remained in Hawaii, and I ended up Ibiza. Nothing too unusual in that, although he and I remained in the same session, so we could still talk to each other and could also still see each other-- from my perspective, his car was hovering over the water in daytime, while in his, I was hovering in the sky above during the night.

I'm just curious...has anyone else been encountering session oddities like this?

Reavan and I both captured it, and I'll embed the videos on the video thread, as long as Bezrider allows the cross-posting, but in the interim, here are the links we uploaded on youtube. Considering the circumstances, the conversation we had probably seemed a bit bizarre:

I've been on Casino island and still in a session with friends in Ibiza...turns out the Casino is only 6 miles offshore from Zenith Loft

Never before have I heard of what happened to you though...that's strange. Early yesterday, invites in the casino weren't working at all...every time I accepted an invite, nothing would happen. Same for a few others.

The casino island doesn't look like ibiza at all , it looks more tropic like HI lol. If it is 6 miles from Ibiza, that would be weird. Then again it is atari -_-. Oh and the most realistic places I could think of for casino island is either near Tahiti or in the NWHI ( north west Hawaiian islands)

Oh and an island fact or half fact that i found interesting:

In tdu2, both major islands are about 20/30 miles apart ( west cost HI , east Ibiza)

I thought they revamped Eden Island to Casino World ?
And that one is in Hawaii .. not Ibibibibibibibibizaaaahhhh BAM.

Based on the timezones I believe the Casino Island is somewhere around the Indian Ocean, possibly near Dubai.

And yeah that is one weird bug.

The landscape does look a lot like Hawaii...I could have sworn that there was a cutscene after becoming a VIP member in the Casino that showed the big Ibiza sailboats lurking in the background of the poker tournament table...hmmmm...

And I think it's pretty silly that the game takes place on islands that are on nearly opposite sides of the globe

I presume they used Hawaii textures and placed it closer to Ibiza than Hawaii (as I presume the maldives are closer to Ibiza than Hawaii)
