While looking on youtube for a video about how bad the players are on NFSMW2012 online are, i found this:

What it is is a russian games client that allows people to play online in games that normally would not have this feature. 'cool', i first thought to myself but then i had a brainwave. What if someone tried this for TDU1? Would be nice, dontcha think?

I think Atari should have released an "end patch", including the option for dedicated server, LAN and direct PC connections. This would have enabled the ability for fan sites to host own sessions or create your own LAN party with friends.
