HC in TDU1 was like a moongravity mode. Allowing endless drifts and massive jumps.
For normal driving i would go Sim/Simcade/Arcade modes. HC/SP/FA. But with bonus for driving in a more difficult mode. So good driving gets rewarded.
One thing where the Crew fails, is that good driving is not rewarded, in fact bad driving is supported and not punished.
TDU2 physics was nerfed after an Atari executive "could not drive it". But their base physics were supposed to be more simulated.
I really do hope they will choose a clear approach in TDU3 towards driving, without removing the ability to make massive jumps or going off road. With Rallye physics experience in house, they will be more than capable of doing that.
A real drift mode with special races and event would be more fun than just a moongravity mode IMO. That is something they should consider adding to the driving modes.
Clean driving bonus like in TDU1 and an epic challenge creator for custom races and events.
And make rail riding impossible with damage, spins or slowing down so it does not bring any advantage.
Another thing that made TDU special were the prototypes and rare cars. It made the car list special and had cars most people never even heard of. As licenses are now more easy to obtain, if you have the budget, i would also like to see Brand DLC packs.
Single Brand themed car packs from legendary brands like Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, Lamborghini or Aston Martin could really spice up the garages. Themed garage accessories, clothing items, wraps and stickers and even radio stations can be added to each themed pack.
This type of DLC would be accepted by many and open a door for the real die hard fans.
It would also make TDU stand out again from the rest.
Just think of TDFRL. These car models and sounds were epic. Scenery not so much. But having an option to drive all these classic Ferraris in the new TDU3 would be awesome.
Of course the release car list should already have like 5 cars from each brand to begin with. Picking the most iconic cars from a brand is something they did well in The Crew and TDU1/2. But releasing car packs for the fans is something TDU3 devs should consider.
It would also justify the ridiculous fees some brands are charging to game manufacturers these days.
PS Car sounds should be made, using real recordings. I always find the generic BS in some games a real letdown. Car sounds are part of the experience and should be recreated as good as possible.
