I have a feeling the public beta won't take place till after E3 as they will want to announce some of the new features in the game before everyone gets to see them in the open beta.
Also at this late stage it will just be a stress test as finding anything major this close to release could mean another delay.

So what is this about a May 31st beta test ? Any of you got more info on that?
Interesting, but why don't Alpha testers get notified about this or any other tests...
Ubisoft announced today in a fresh press release that The Crew 2 beta test will go live on all platforms (PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) on May 31st; it will end on June 4th.

if something goes wrong with the beta it will be a big embarrassment for Ubisoft at the E3 show.
Sounds like it is just a stress test anyway as surely they have ironed out all of the big problems by now.

From what I read the invites/keys are being sent out to your Ubisoft e-mail account.
Also they said the invites are being sent out on May 28 or 29th.
You can pre-load the game on May 29th.
