MadManCK (anyone still thinks money hacking does not ruin a game?)
I fully agree with MadManCK here but I also think Atari have to take some blame for this as they did very little to stop the money hacks :twocents-02cents:
And TDU Economics are broken. The Big Money flaw stops after the Solar Crown has finished.
Not everybody is amused by having to FRIM a Koenigsegg plus tuning....
I did FRIM the Hydro House BTW :banana-dance:

My Money Guide was a very popular topic for a reason, lol :loll:

It would have been so easy to make it possible to re-do Cups and make Missions re-appear after you finished the XP...

Everybody has seen the great potential but also the flaws of the game, except the devs it seems.

At this point I could care less about the auction house, if they ever do release the finished Cars and Bikes as a mega pack, I'll be happy for a long time.

Yes, it is a bit late now for the Auction Hall as a lot of players have lost interest. Atari does a great job as game killer instead of promoting it.

I asked them if they would release the already finished content, as i don't like to see hackers drive lots of cars that are not available for legit players, but they gave me a rather lame response, saying nothing is confirmed for release. (last page)

List of possible finished or almost finished cars and bikes:

Spyker Aileron
Hot Rod
Nismo 370z
Audi R8 V8

You can see some of these riding around the island. Others say they got pinked after last patch.

Other cars and bikes rumored to be ready or almost finished:

Triumph Speed Triple
Audi Sport Quattro S1*
Lotus Exige S
Dodge Challenger

and a few more.

It would indeed make a nice DLC pack to release. If they will release those we also know it is the last DLC for TDU2, unless another team will pick up the pieces. But they will probably be more interested in developing a completely new version of TDU3.

If they make the club cars DLC aswell I would be all set. Also add the option to use old or new or both car sounds with a 3 way switch in the garage where the cars are for each individual car. There are cars I still refuse to drive since DLC2.

That last part of the list was referring to cars that are "ready" but not in the game yet.
I have only seen the Hot Rod, Spyker Aileron and the Audi R8V8.
The Nismo was in the UCD Ibiza at the time of release of the DLC2, but was unfinished as only 1 of 3 sets of rims was there. It was drivable as i took it for a spin in a test drive.

Edited the previous post to make it more clear.

Yes, Dubai was one of the original locations considered for TDU2, but they had to cancel one and went for Ibiza. I think they were working on Dubai before Ibiza. But it was axed in an early stage of development. Maybe i can retrace the work of the former Eden dev who worked on that project and had some cool insights on his website and portfolio.

Edit: found it :ugeek:

Former Eden Dev Thibaut Trampont worked on Dubai, before Atari/Eden axed the project.

During the preproduction of the game, i was in charge of the entire Level Design of a second island : Dubaï. The project was designed to take the hight level player from Hawaii to Dubaï.

With that in mind, we made a huge research on every element of the Dubaï environment :

Roads and marking
Buildings and monuments
Vegetation and disctricts
Topography and landscape
Street elements

I personaly made the research about Roads and marking, because i was the one to create the road network using the Worlbuilder tool wich is a internal Tool of Eden Games's Twilight engine.

Before Eden Games and Atari decided to throw it all to trash, i had build the entire network, and specificaly the Jabel Hafeet road, wich has a world renown among drivers.
He was obviously not too happy with the decision to axe his work. :angry-banghead:
