Acura NSX '91
Image

The Acura NSX (sold as the Honda NSX elsewhere than North America and Hong Kong) is a supercar built by Honda from 1990 to 2005. Being the car manufacturer's first supercar, the NSX have a huge fanbase and was also praised by critics.
The power comes from an 3.0L V6 with VTEC variable timing system and titanium rods - the latter being a first in an mass-production vehicle - that produce 270 hp (201 kW) and 285 N·m (210 lb·ft) of torque. It does weight surprisingly much though (1370 kg) but that doesn't prevent the car to still go 0-100 km/h in approx. 6 seconds and go up to 270 km/h in top speed.

Mega Monte Carlo '96
Image

The Monte Carlo was ment to be a sports car, for both the road and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was based on the Sera CD, a model that used the computer aided design to manufacture the first prototype which included special attention paid to the flat underbody and rear diffuser.

The Mega Monte Carlo was first unveiled at the 1996 Geneva Motor Show. It showcased proven engineering which included a carbon fiber chassis, carbon fibre brakes and a mid-mounted, Mercedes V12 engine. It has an output of 395 hp at 5200 rpm and a peak torque of 420 lbs-ft at 3800 rpm.

It has a top speed of 300 Km/h and makes the 0 to 60 Km/h sprint in 4.4 seconds

Jaguar R-D6 '03
Image

The Jaguar R-D6 Concept takes advantage of Jaguar’s lightweight structure strategy, as pioneered in the new XJ saloon. Using aluminium and composite materials for the chassis and body, R-D6 weighs just 1500kg. This allows it to capitalise on the power - and, more importantly, the torque - delivered by its V6 engine.

And it’s the engine that will surprise many people - although, when you think about it, a high-performance 2.7-litre diesel engine makes perfect sense. Confirming Jaguar as a potent new force in the world of large-capacity diesels, the bi-turbo V6 is a tuned version of the engine that will make its debut in the S-TYPE in 2004. With horsepower in excess of 230hp and a massive 500Nm of torque, the V6 diesel engine endows R-D6 with the pace to satisfy its looks and R-Performance rating.

0-100 km/h time = 5.9 secs
Top Speed = 250 km/h (electronically limited).

Peugeot Quasar '84
Image

Presented by Peugeot in 1984 the Quasar was a futuristic sportscar concept inspired by science-fiction spacecraft design. It was powered by a 1.6 liters biturbo engine which delivered 600 HP.

The Quasar was designed at the Peugeot Styling Center in La Garenne as a pure design study.
The two-seater interior compartment also evokes the futuristic design of sci-fi spacecrafts and was finished in dark blue and red leather.

With a chassis derived from the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, the Quasar was powered by a 4-cylinders 1.6 liters DOHC biturbo 16-valves unit equipped with an air-to-air intercooler.

The engine delivered 600 hp and a max torque of 50 kgm and was coupled to a all-wheel-drive transmission with 5-speed gearbox and traction control system. The suspension featured Formula 1-like double wishbones.

Like the other concept unveiled by Peugeot in 1984, the Quasar featured many electronic controls: onscreen warning messages, a navigation system, videotex and night-driving enhancement. The audio system was supplied by Clarion.

Dual Ghia L6.4 '62
Image

The Ghia L6.4 was just about as exclusive as you could get in the 1960s, as it was designed and built only for actors and other high rollers in Hollywood. The final of the 26 Ghia L6.4s ever built was built for one of the largest stars of that era, Dean Martin. Martin was not the only Rat Pack member to own a L6.4, as Frank Sinatra also owned one, as did other Rat Pack members.

There is only a small amount of information available about this car’s engine and drivetrain. The first thing is that it features a Chrysler 383 cubic-inch (6.4-liter) V-8 engine that cranks out 335 horsepower. The 6.4-liters is where the car gets its name.
