Maybe Casino Island can be extended so you can cruise around on it and have a player home or Yacht there. Ibiza can be heavily improved , so can Oahu. Probably even more. With a real jungle, running water, the ability to drive through water and mud, more tarmac but still the good old TDU Oahu would be awesome.

If there will be a new location it should be in a different climate zone or bring something special to TDU.

I also think that by releasing car slots or location slots, the Mod community could make a really cool Island.
I always wanted to make my own drivers Island, with all the best drivers roads and tracks in the world combined, preferably 60's style, featuring a frozen lake, a jungle, a desert, woods, a city area, large fields, mountains and some serious tarmac. Also featuring some real cool player homes, like large estates, castles and penthouses that would make you drool.

If TDU2 is no longer supported maybe Atari can release a patch that would make things like that possible. :twocents-02cents:

Im confused, didn't Atari go bankrupt and is selling all their assets? Why mention Atari in this at all? and how are you planning to send the information to Ivory Tower and expect to get a reply? What is your plan? if there is one.

We can dream all we want, but in the end who is to listen to us? The information we were given about a new Racer/Driving game that Ivory Tower is supposedly working on is awfully vague and is in its infancy, plus there is no mention of it being made for the PC platform, so any hopes of modding are lost, unless the next-gen consoles allow it.

Ivory Tower Game will be released on the new consoles as well as PC. More will be revealed at the upcoming E3.

The devs over there probably scoobed the old Atari forum for community feedback and ideas already. There are a lot of TDU1 devs over there, so you can expect a seriously good open world racer. Rumored to take place in an exotic location.

In addition to that, the TDU franchise is still very much alive. There have been some developments recently, indicating some large financial backers using the TD franchise as a security deposit. Whatever they are planning, you won't make investments form 5 and 21 Million dollar if you don't want to do anything with it.

My best bet is that there will be a TDU3. How, by who and when remains the question.

Threads like these are very useful to see what players expect from a possible successor or competitor to TDU2. And a clever publisher would release some new stuff for the current version as well. As long as the next one is still in development.

MadManCK wrote:Isle of Man is probably mentioned most as a real drivers island. It features one of the most notorious Bike races in the world and has no speed limits IRL. Also i think a new location should be in a different part of the World than Oahu and Ibiza.

Iceland (a scaled down version) would be a cool option as well.

Other preferred locations, in addition to the existing ones (keep Ibiza and Oahu !!) are a Caribbean (themed) island or a Japanese one.

PS The Eden games devs worked on Dubai, which is awesome as well. Corsica was considered but couldn't be fitted on one disc with Oahu (real story). There are countless exciting locations all over the world, but i prefer quality over quantity and rather have them develop a few locations really good. Maybe one additional location at release and one or two as DLC in the years to follow, to keep the game alive and interesting. :twocents-02cents:

yes, quality over quanity. it hurts me every time i go into a city in TDU2 only to find that it's the same buildings plopped over and over again with a few landmarks, like aloha tower in honolulu, or the clubs in ibiza.

i'm sorry, but new york city has none of the great driving roads that make TDU great, ditto with miami

ivory tower has a contact us button
i've sent emails to them before
and since it's in its infancy there's still time for us to have our say.

Perhaps you never been to New York, don't be so quick to judge if you haven't seen it. Besides, like many have said, it doesn't have to be an Island, Dubai was considered to be a location, it is a city in fact. IMO New York would be a great change, the long avenues in Manhattan would make for nice Drag Strips and Manhattan at night is sight to see, I myself live in Brooklyn and when I go to Manhattan I often feel like a tourist. Maybe you should do a little research before judging. Don't be so quick to discard my ideas just because you and I had some differences in the past, look ahead and grow up a little more.

lol if that's how you plan to do it, just make sure you use the proper grammar and spelling and please, use the Queens language if you even want your emails to be noticed. After all, what does a person of your age know anything about how to properly form a text with such information. I personally think such task should be given to someone who is older and has some experience communicating with the devs, the admins of this site perhaps.
