Tablet users, help me decide

Ok I'm thinking of buying a tablet and I know some of you have one, so rather than go by some random reviews can some of you give me some hands on recommendations.
First off I don't want an ipad (I just don't like the software restrictions it has)
Second at least 7"
And budget £250 but would like one for less if possible.

For a second I thought you were talking about Drawing Tablets and my heart lifted. Then you shot it with a catapult.

I already own an Wacom Intuos tablet, I've had it for years I hardly ever use it now

Get an ASUS transformer or wait for one with the Tegra4 in it.

Just looked one up they seem quite cheep, whats the performance like ?

I have a TF300. It has a Tegra3 and is really smooth. Auto updates to new versions of Android as well. You can have it with a docking station.

my tablet is a phone too XD
check out the galaxy note 2 7.0 it is getting older but have a look into it

I think I like the bigger screen of the ASUS one
