I'm on a serious mission to get in contact with someone from our favorite developer, Atari. Through some less than professional emails, I hope to get across the message that TDU2 is falling apart at it's pixelated seams. I'll be transferred through many different corporate email addresses because their Contact Us page sucks. For that reason, my first email is going to their PR team and hopefully they'll guide me in the right direction.
I'll update this thread with sent and received emails. Together we can save this game!

I asked them for some info about the contents of the license, but they didn't even bother to answer.
I'm under the impression TDU will be sold to Eden games who will make a restart with it.
The auction didn't result in a sale, which i find curious. Maybe the mentioned 1.5M is a bit on the steep side, but it is still a strong brand name and legacy with great potential.
Maybe it was part of a divestiture agreement with David Nadal. Who knows. It didn't take too long for Eden Games to announce the restart.
End of September will be more clear about the future of Atari and its assets. My guess is that TDU will not be part of that anymore.
Eden Games will make TDU3 and take over the franchise.
