A group of guys are working on getting TDU 2 servers back up and running.
We have managed to build our own server files from scratch and made them compatible enough for them work properly with the original game.
No date as yet to when this will be ready but tests look promising. :D

Interesting. I just fished out my original disc and I am almost positive I saved my data folder in one of my back ups. Was thinking of installing. Keep an eye on this.

Still have an old save file as well

YOU WILL NEED TO UN-PLUG YOUR INTERNET TO GET IT TO WORK WITHOUT THE UNIVERSAL LAUNCHER :geek:

Thanks for the info Bez. I have also been mulling over picking up a wireless Xbox controller so I can play on the big screen with a Steam Link. Had a Steam controller but never cared for it the few times I used it. Still have the G25, it's packed in its box but not sure I want to get it out just yet.

As to the G25 thing this is my only problem, it won't work with my latest wheel so i am having to use a controller. :(

I did have an old G25 that i used to keep for playing TDU 2 but after it went off line i sold it.

Xbox controller on the way. Found my Eden Games folder so I am good there. Since I have not played with a controller for ages, thinking start small and simple with ETS2. Will work on rebooting TDU2 soon :text-lol:

Game is still a lot of fun to play only downside with off-line is the game feels a little empty. :(

I miss driving around bumping into friends and random players.

I also booted up the crew 2 the other day and drove around for over 40 min and never saw anyone. :o

This is one of the things i have never liked about the crew it has always felt empty. :|

Hey Bez. Got my controller and reinstalled ETS2 to get a feel for using it. May install the original The Crew, not going to buy 2 unless it is real cheap on sale.

I have a question. If I use the unofficial patch, can I still copy over my saved game folder and use? Not really interested in a new game and would love to see all those different colored Ferrari I stashed in my garages. I did not look hard but I don't see any place an official patch can be found. No hurry, I have a couple of weeks of flying 20,000 LY's to get back to civilization in ED.
