According to Carnewschina, the K50 will be mass-produced within a brand new factory in the city of Suzhou, Jiangsu Provice. The factory is said to have an annual capacity of 50,000 cars, mixing the K50 production with that of two other electric vehicles.
The Qiantu K50 is powered by two electric motors, one for each axle, for a combined output of 408 HP and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) resulting in a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 4.6 seconds.
While top speed is limited to just 200 km/h (124 mph), the range is set at a very decent 300 km (186 miles). Of course, these are the specs of the Coupe model, which means that if or when the Roadster does become official, it may or may not be ever so slightly slower.
The K50 Coupe is set to go on sale this fall for 700,000 yuan ($108,000), though a production-ready Roadster model would probably cost a tad higher than that.
