Gumpert Apollo Enraged '12
Gumpert Apollo Enraged '12.jpg
The Gumpert Apollo is a sports car produced by German automaker Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH in Altenburg.

A super secretive Gumpert model was headed to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and when the wraps came off, onlookers were made privy to the luscious, new Apollo R and a scintillating special edition, the Apollo Enraged. The Apollo Enraged not only succeeded in being kept a secret until only a day before Geneva, but it will also succeed at being one of the most exclusive with only three units being produced of the super car.

The Apollo Enraged is powered by a 4.2 liter V8 twin-turbo engine that delivers a total of 780 HP and a peak torque of 678 lb-ft. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.

The car is a mixture of aluminum and carbon fiber with Vortex generators, a carbon rear wing, and carbon louvers for wheel ventilation. It also features an F1-style airbox, an air lift system, LED daytime running lights, and a new set of aluminum alloy wheels with center locking and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The interior receives a flag design embroidery on the seats and headrests, and a digital LCD instrument panel.

"Even though the Apollo Enraged is street legal, it nevertheless carries the racing sports genes of the Apollo R," is how Roland Gumpert describes the limited special edition. "Ok, so perhaps it is a bit crazy to take the most extreme, barely still street legal vehicle and make it even more extreme. But the idea behind the Enraged, just like the Apollo R itself, embodies our philosophy and our understanding of pure German speed with absolute consistency."

Bowler EXR S '13
Bowler EXR S '13.jpg
The Bowler Nemesis is an off-road racing vehicle designed, manufactured and sold by Bowler Off Road. The Nemesis is intended to be used in endurance rally raid events such as the Dakar Rally and Rallye des Pharaons. Bowler also made a street version called the Bowler EXR S.

The EXR S takes styling elements such as grille, headlights and rear lights from the Range Rover Sport. Like the Bowler Wildcat that preceded it, the Nemesis has a tubular steel spaceframe construction that incorporates a roll cage as an integral part of the frame structure. The spaceframe and roll cage are approved by the Motor Sports Association for racing. Unlike the Wildcat, the EXR S features a fully independent suspension design.

The Bowler EXR S is powered by a supercharged and remapped 5.0-liter V-8 from the Range Rover Sport that produces 550 horsepower and an estimated 700 pound-feet of torque. The twin air intake system is finished in chrome and adds real purpose to the near-OEM-quality engine compartment. A Bowler-branded induction cover fills some of the void between the deeply mounted engine and the front end.

The snorting V-8 is shoved well back from the front axle for a low, front mid-mounted position and ideal weight distribution. The EXR S keeps the racecar’s locking center and rear differentials but tweaks the torque split from 60:40 to 50:50. All of this power and technology delivers a 0-to-100 km/h sprint of 4.2-seconds. The EXR S curb weight is 1730 kg.

Max Power: 550 hp
Max Torque: 700.0 lb-ft
Weight: 1730 Kg

Allen Pursuit '80
Allen Pursuit '80.jpg
Jerry Allen was a guy that liked fast… fast anything. Cars, boats, you name it – he probably had one. In the mid-sixties, he got involved in the Excalibur car – a 1928 Mercedes SS clone – built on a Studebaker chassis. He also had more than a little flair. His New York City Chevrolet dealership was located on the ground floor of the General Motors building. He later moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, to concentrate on selling Excalibur cars as well as boats of the same name.

The Excalibur had a good run and, for a car guy, there can be little that is more enjoyable than seeing people line up to buy a car that you had a hand in building. When the Excalibur line came to an end, Allen wanted something else to sell. What came out as his next project was the Allen Pursuit.

Starting with a new Corvette, local builder Jack Coolidge and his sons would transform the car with additional fiberglass and filler, into the restyled work you see here. Allen’s appreciation of earlier styling themes is evident in the lines of the Pursuit, which were strongly influenced by the Talbot-Lago and Delahaye classics of the 1930’s.

According to reports, a total of one prototype and six actual cars were built, despite being widely advertised in high end lifestyle magazines such as Sports Illustrated, Esquire, GQ and Playboy. The current example is from a Texas estate, with a classic black and burgundy exterior combination and a red leather interior.

The car is believed to be powered by a Chevrolet small-block engine 327s in 300-hp Corvette tune.

Exagon Furtive eGT '13
Exagon Furtive-eGT '13.jpg
Exagon Engineering is a French auto racing team which is based in Magny-Cours. The team was founded by director Luc Marchetti in 2004, and is managed by former racer Cathy Muller who is the older sister of successful touring car driver Yvan Muller. Exagon Engineering are best known for preparing cars to enter in the FIA World Touring Car Championship, although they also run cars in other events such as rallycross, sportscar racing and ice racing. Exagon Motors was established in 2009 as a division of Exagon Engineering to develop a production road car. It unveiled its first car, the Furtive-eGT at the Paris Motor Show in 2010.

The upcoming Exagon Furtive eGT is a 2+2 all-electric supercar which can easily fit 4 passengers and their luggage. In an official press release, Exagon said that the eGT has been "designed with versatility in mind; it combines the behavior and performance of a leading sports car with the comfort of an executive car."

The car measures 4.50 m in length, and will be distinguished by extremely short front and rear overhangs, a double-bubble roof, and aerated rear posts.

Under the hood of the upcoming Exagon Furtive eGT, there are two electric motors developed by Siemens. Producing a total output of 402 HP, the eGT will sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.

Exagon announced that, at an average speed of 50 kmh (31 mph), there is an autonomy of 402 kilometers (249 miles), while at 130 kmh (80 mph), the autonomy will be 197 kilometers (122 miles). The model will be offered with an optional range-extender which will increase the car’s autonomy to 807 kilometers (501 miles). This range extender is a small combustion engine with a low cylinder capacity which charges the batteries when they have reached the limit of their autonomy. This engine has no effect on the wheels; it simply acts as a generator. It therefore has very low fuel consumption and functions at a constant rate, ensuring optimum fuel consumption.
