Hispano Suiza V10 Coupe '10
Hispano Suiza V10 Coupe '10.jpg
Hispano-Suiza (literally: "Spanish-Swiss") was a Spanish automotive and engineering firm, best known for its luxury cars and aviation engines pre-World War II. In 1923 its French subsidiary became a semi-autonomous partnership with the parent company. In 1968, the French arm was taken over by the aerospace company Snecma, now a part of the FrenchSAFRAN Group. The Spanish parent sold all its automotive assets to Enasa in 1946.

The legendary Hispano Suiza marque has been relaunched at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, in the shape of this swoopy coupe that features a 750 hp supercharged V10.

The car has a chassis constructed with aluminum space-frame technology, as well as a lightweight, yet extremely stable, carbon body. In the initial version of the car, a ten-cylinder V-engine, assisted by two electrically-powered superchargers, generates 750 HP - power that is abundant enough to propel the Hispano Suiza from a standing stop to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. The permanent all-wheel drive ensures sufficient traction to deliver this power to the road, guaranteeing not only extraordinary driving performance but also outstanding handling. At the rear axle, propulsion is provided by the supercharged, ten-cylinder engine. The front wheels are driven by a separate, 150 HP electric motor that draws electricity from a battery pack at the front of the car. This combination boosts the Hispano Suiza's output to 900 HP if needed.

AMC Javelin AMX '71
AMC Javelin AMX '71.jpg
The AMC Javelin is a pony car that was built by the American Motors Corporation between 1967 and 1974 in two generations, model years 1968 to 1970 (with a separate design in 1970) and 1971 to 1974. The sporty Javelins came only as two-door hardtop (with no "B" pillar) body style, and were available in economical versions or as high-performance muscle cars.

The second-generation AMX version was the first pony car to be used as a normal highway patrol police car by any U.S. organization.

The AMC Javelin was restyled for the 1971 model year. The "1980-looking Javelin" design was purposely made to give the sporty car "individuality," even at "the risk of scaring some people off." The new design incorporated an integral roof spoiler and sculpted fender bulges. The new body departed from the gentle, tucked-in look of the original.

The media noted the revised front fenders (originally designed to accommodate oversized racing tires) that "bulge up as well as out on this personal sporty car, borrowing lines from the much more expensive Corvette." The new design also featured an "intricate injection moulded grille."

The car's dashboard was asymmetrical, with "functional instrument gauges that wrap around you with cockpit efficiency". This driver-oriented design contrasted with the symmetrical interior of the economy-focused 1966 Hornet (Cavalier) prototype.

AMC offered a choice of engines and transmissions. Engines included a 232 cu in (3.8 L) I6 and a four-barrel 401 cu in (6.6 L) AMC V8 with high compression ratio, forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods engineered to withstand 8000 rpm. The BorgWarner T-10 four-speed manual transmission came with a Hurst floor shifter.

From 1971, the AMX was no longer available as a two-seater. It evolved into a premium high-performance edition of the Javelin.

The new Javelin-AMX incorporated several racing modifications and AMC advertised it as “the closest thing you can buy to a Trans-Am champion.” The car had a fiberglass full-width cowl induction hood, as well as spoilers front and rear for high-speed traction. Testing at the Ontario Motor Speedway by Penske Racing Team recorded that the 1971 Javelin AMX's rear spoiler added 145.4 kg of downforce. Mark Donohue also advised AMC to make the AMX's grille flush for improved airflow, thus the performance model received a stainless steel mesh screen over the standard Javelin's deep openings.

The performance-upgrade "Go Package" provided the choice of a 360 or 401 4-barrel engine, and included "Rally-Pac" instruments, a handling package for the suspension, “Twin-Grip” limited-slip differential, heavy-duty cooling, power-assisted disc brakes, white-letter E60x15 Goodyear Polyglas tires on 15x7-inch styled slotted steel wheels) used on the Rebel Machine, a T-stripe hood decal, and a blacked-out rear taillight panel.

The 3,244-pound (1,471 kg) 1971 Javelin AMX with a 401 cu in (6.6 L) V8 ran the quarter-mile in the mid-14 second range at 93 miles per hour (150 km/h) on low-lead, low-octane gas.

The Caresto Custom Volvo P1800 GT is a classic car brought up to date with modern safety features and hugely increased performance. Based upon an original volvo P1800 ES – Caresto developed the car to celebrate the models 50 year anniversary. Caresto was founded in 1996 and are a design and coach builder based in Sweden. During the years Caresto have had the opportunity to create and deliver many exciting cars and automotive creations to there clients.

Based on the 1800 ES, the P1800 GT was designed to combine classic P1800 elements like the original aluminum egg-crate grille, “horn” bumpers and small taillamps with the late “sport wagon” ES body style. AB-Flug GT-R Aloof 01-R ver.02 '13
AB-Flug GT-R Aloof 01-R ver.02 '13.jpg
Ab-Flug has made a reputation for themselves for having some of the most extreme body kits in the world. Some may call their creations outlandish, but there’s no denying that they push aggressive designs to the edge. Their widebody Nissan GT-R is one of their craziest kits yet, even up against some of their insane Supra creations.

The kit has large-mouth front bumper, wide blister fenders and R8-style ducting in the rear bumper. The Godzilla kit is available piece-by-piece, with FRP and carbon variations, depending on the part. Also available is a high-mount rear wing that replaces the OEM wing, but retains the side base mounts.

Although the Aloof 01-R prototype model came out at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon, the Ver.02 boasts new front fascia, side profile, and has a dry carbon roof. Also, a new Abflug designed wheel, the "Prism III" has been installed, which serves to further differentiate the Aloof 01-R.

Under the charge of PentRoof, using a stock engine and turbocharger, but using original ECU tuning, a strengthened actuator, a cooling system upgrade and other modifications. The final output has been increased to 634 hp.

This was by far the car that required the most amount of research and translating,
I am glad I'm done with it. Image

Chevrolet Camaro SS 35th Anniversary '02
Chevrolet Camaro SS 35th Anniversary '02.jpg
The fourth-generation Chevrolet Camaro debuted for the 1993 model year on an updated F-body platform. It would retain the same characteristic since the first-generation's introduction back in 1967; 2-doors, 2+2 seating, available as a coupe (with optional T-top roof) or convertible, rear-wheel drive, and a choice of pushrod V6 and V8 powerplants. The 1998 model year was refreshed and revised with both exterior and engine changes. The fourth-gen Camaro would last up through the 2002 model year when General Motors discontinued production due to slow sales, a deteriorated sports coupe market, and plant overcapacity.

The Camaro celebrates its 35-year heritage with a limited edition 35th Anniversary Package available on SS Coupes and SS Convertibles. All are finished in Bright Rallye Red. Coupes include removable T-tops roof panels and body-color roof halo; convertibles have a black top. Wide dual stripes, fading solid silver into a checkered flag, run the length of the vehicle from the front fascia, over the hood and onto the rear decklid and spoiler. Accordingly, stated power ratings were increased to 325 hp for the SS which also added a power steering cooler.

Pininfarina 2uettottanta '10
Pininfarina 2uettottanta '10.jpg
Pininfarina celebrated its 80th anniversary with the unveiling of the 2uettottanta concept at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The concept’s name makes reference to both the legendary Duetto, but also the years of activity at Pininfarina. The concept is also an homage to the Alfa Romeo’s centenary.

The 2uettottanta is a 2-seater spider, featuring a clean and elegant design and powered by a 1750 cc turbo engine positioned longitudinally, an obvious reference to the "1750 Veloce" of 1968. The concept’s exterior red paint is also inspired by the typical Alfa Romeo paintwork.

The 2uettottanta’s front is inspired by Alfa Romeo models and features a shield made of aluminum and incorporating floating horizontal flaps, two triangular lateral air intakes, front headlights with the latest LED technologies and a strip of carbon in the lower part of the front that acts as an air splitter.

On the interior, the dashboard has a driver-oriented configuration with an innovative approach to the classical circular Alfa Romeo “tubes” that contain the instruments. There is also a a modern interpretation of the Duetto’s perforated three-spoke wheel, with the addition of a shift paddle for sequential control of the dual-clutch gearbox.

In 2010, 2uettottanta won the Car Design of the Year Award for the best car design of 2010 in the concept car category at the Geneva Motor Show. Also in Geneva, the Pininfarina Design Team directed by Lowie Vermeersch was honored by the Czech magazine Autodesign&Styling with the AutoDesign Award.

Hispano Suiza HS 21 '00
Hispano Suiza HS 21 '00.jpg
During the 2000 Geneva Motor Show it appeared that yet another great motoring name would make a comeback; Hispano Suiza. Rivals of old like Bugatti and Maybach had already been revived and now it seemed the turn for the great Spanish manufacturer. The reason for this idea was the Hispano Suiza badged mid-engined concept car displayed by Spanish design and engineering company Mazel. Anticipation was further increased by two subsequent Hispano Suiza badged concept cars shown in 2001 and 2002, but nothing has come from the project.

The first of the three show cars was aptly dubbed the HS 21; the Hispano Suiza for the 21st century. The thoroughly modern design was penned Spaniard Francisco Villafanez. The only cue reminiscent of the Hispano Suizas of old was the prominent grille. At the time of the launch Mazel suggested the HS 21 would be powered by a Twin-Turbo V10 engine and equipped with a six-speed sequential gearbox. Now painted in a lighter shade, the HS 21 made a second appearance on the Mazel's Geneva stand some four years after the launch, but has not been seen since.

A year after the HS 21 launch, Mazel showed the distinctly different K8. Painted in a rather appalling matt-grey colour, the K8 is a four-door luxury sedan. Maybe it was the colour hiding all the delicate lines, but the K8 was not nearly as well received as the HS 21. With the third and final Hispano Suiza show car Mazel returned to the original HS 21 design. Dubbed the HS 21 GTS, the bright orange car was a study for a potential Hispano Suiza racing car.
