Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50° Anniversario '13
Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50° Anniversario '13.jpg
The Murciélago has been the flagship of Lamborghini for almost 10 years since its debut in 2001, and it is time for a new leader. The new heir in this lineage descended from the famous Countach, is the Aventador which debuted at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The Aventador inherits the iconic scissor doors that open upwards, identifying it as the top model Lamborghini. But because the silhouette of the car is not much different from the Murcielago, at first glance the car might not seem to be different.

But looks can be deceiving. Inside it has been completely redeveloped and has advanced like never before. The steel tube spaceframe of the Murcielago has been replaced by a carbon monocoque and forward/rear aluminum subframes, and almost all body parts have been made into carbon or aluminum. As a result, the car weighs roughly 100 kg less than the Murcielago, with a dry weight of 1575 kg. This is extremely light for a car of this class.

The newly developed mid-mounted engine is a 6.5 liter, DOHC 48 valve V12. The maximum power of 690 HP/8250 rpm and maximum torque of 509.1 ft-lb/5500 rpm are transferred to the ground through an electronically controlled forward/aft torque splitting mechanism and a single clutch 7 speed semi-AT that shifts 40% faster than the newest e-Gear on the Gallardo.

The suspension utilizes a pushrod type double wishbone configuration often used in racing, applied for the first time in the world on a production car. As a result of all the improvements made, the top speed of the Aventador has increased from 342 km/h of the Murcielago to 350 km/h, and the 0-100 acceleration is now 2.9 seconds, having been improved by 0.3 seconds. And of course its stability in high speed corners is unrivaled. In an era where everyone is shouting eco-friendly performance, this is a rare, outstanding supercar which gathers praise for its high power and even higher performance.

The Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario is a limited (200 units - 100 Coupe and 100 Roadster) version of the Aventador LP 700-4 commemorating the 50th anniversary of Automobili Lamborghini. It included increased engine power, Lamborghini has placed the same V-12 engine as in the standard Aventador, but with a new engine calibration. As a result, the output has been increased from the standard 690 up to 710 horsepower. Along with this exclusive color, the new anniversary edition also received an improved aerodynamic kit. Up front, it gets enlarged air intakes and splitters, and on the rear, Lamborghini added an enlarged diffuser and expansive meshwork that further improves engine compartment ventilation.

Lotus T125 Exos '10.jpg
The Lotus T125 Exos is a track-only Formula One inspired car. To run in the 'Exos Experience by Lotus', a club, initiated and operated by Lotus Motorsport, in which a limited number of owner drivers can refine their driving skills and challenge themselves with expert one-to-one advice from former Grand Prix drivers and trainers. It is also previous holder of the fastest Top Gear lap time although it was disqualified for not being able to meet the requirements of getting over a speed bump.

Unlike a Formula One car however, an army of technicians and mechanics is not required to start the engine and keep the car running. The start button is all the driver needs to press to get going. Purchasers of the Lotus 125 are able to chose from a stylization of a classic Lotus livery, the Exos concept design, or as an option, request their own, bespoke livery.

The Lotus Exos T125 is powered by a 3.5-liter Cosworth V8 engine that delivers a total of 640 HP and has a 10,300 rpm redline. The engine is mated to a F1-style semi-automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The Lotus Exos T125 features a a carbon fiber monocoque platform, ceramic brakes, and a carbon fiber suspension.

Ferrari 400 Superfast II '60
Ferrari 400 Superfast II '60.jpg
Catering to the world's most fortunate, Ferrari built the America and subsequent SuperAmerica models to special order throughout the 1950s. Except for the earliest examples these luxurious Grand Tourers were clothed by Pinin Farina and all of them were powered by the Aurelio Lampredi designed 'long block' V12 engine. The last Lampredi engined 410 SuperAmerica was completed in November of 1959. Ferrari started the decade fresh with the 400 SuperAmerica launched in Brussels in January. Clothed by Pininfarina with an understated Cabriolet body, the Italian manufacturer's latest Grand Tourer sported an all new chassis and engine.

While the 400 SuperAmerica was officially introduced in Brussels, the world, unknowingly, had already received a first taste of things to come a few months earlier. Late in 1959, Pininfarina had shown a striking one-off special commissioned by Fiat supremo Gianni Agnelli. The bold styling probably disguised the fact that under the skin, the car was very much a 400 SuperAmerica. The only difference of note was the slightly longer, 2500 mm, wheelbase. The 'second' SuperAmerica shown early in 1960 had an altogether more subtle Cabriolet coachwork. From a distance it could even be mistaken for a contemporary 250 GT Cabriolet. Up close the exquisite detailing and unique touches did set it apart from the lower range Ferraris. Almost all SuperAmericas built that year sported this open-top body; naturally no two were the same.

In October of 1960 Pininfarina showed the 400 SuperAmerica based 'Superfast II' study at the Turin Show. The striking white machine was the first truly 'aerodynamic' design by Pininfarina. It featured covered, pop-up headlights and rear wheel covers to help further reduce drag. The design proved highly influential for both the 'production' 400 Superamerica coupes that followed and also the prototype of the 250 GTO that was raced during the 1961 season.

Retained by Pininfarina, it was later modified twice and at one point even featured the twin-headlights that would be used for the 330 GT 2+2 production model. Over the last few years, the unique Superfast II has been restored to its original configuration. The work was completed in 2015 and the car made its post restoration debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. This was the very first time, it was seen in Superfast II guise since its 1960 Turin Motor Show debut.

Mitsubishi Galant GTO MR '70
Mitsubishi Galant GTO MR front.JPG
The Galant GTO (Gran Turismo Omologato), also known as the Colt Galant GTO, is a sports car built by Mitsubishi from november 1970 to 1977. First shown as the Galant GTX-1 showcar at the 1969 Tokyo Motor Show, the GTO's exterior was penned by Hiroaki Kamisago, who had previously been sent by Mitsubishi to study at the Art Centre College of Design, then located in Los Angeles, California.
The design featured a number of stylistic cues from contemporary American muscle cars such as the Mustang, Firebird and Cougar, which included a long hood, raised cut-off ducktail rear and rounded quad-headlamps and tail-lamps.

Mitsubishi Racing Development (also known as Colt Racing) intended for the Galant GTO to compete in the prestigious JCCA Grand Prix circuit. However, the OPEC oil embargo in 1973 sounded the demise of GP racing, so the GTO race program was mothballed. Nevertheless, GTO's were successful in rallying, including the famous Japanese Alpine Rally.

Initially, there were three GTO models offered, all powered by the Saturn engine: the M1, the M2 and the top-spec MR, the latter in which was only avaible in Japan. The MR uses a 1.6 liter DOHC twin carburettor variant of the Saturn engine producing 125 hp and 105 ft-lb of torque. Also, the car doesn't weigh much (980 kg), so it was pretty nippy for the time: 0-100 km/h in 9.4 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage '10
Aston Martin V12 Vantage '10.jpg
With a powerful V-12 engine and elegant-yet-sophisticated exterior styling, the Aston Martin V12 Vantage is the preeminent production model available from the British exotic car manufacturer, the flagship of the 2-seat Vantage series.

Introduced at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, this two-seat rear-wheel drive model is essentially identical to the V-8-powered V8 Vantage model with the added power and performance that only a car with a V-12 engine stuffed beneath its stylish hood can offer. This powerplant, which is a tuned version of the DB9/DBS V12, is located aft of the front axle making its layout a front-midship design.

Measuring 172.4 inches long, 73.4 inches wide, 48.8 inches tall and with a wheel base of 102.33 inches, the V12 Vantage is almost the same size as the V8 Vantage, but with a 0.5 inches lower ride height. Otherwise, there is little that visually separates the V12 from the V8, save for slightly larger aerodynamic parts and air outlets on the hood. Much work has been done to reduce the vehicle's weight. The extra 100 kg from the larger engine has been supplemented by lighter brakes, aluminum wheels and an assortment of carbon and aluminum parts throughout the car, paring down the increase in mass to a mere extra 50 kg, allowing the V12 Vantage to tip the scales at 1680 kg.

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage achieves a top speed of 306 km/h and accelerates from zero to 100 in 4.2 seconds, all made possible by a monster engine producing 510 HP at 6500 rpm and 420.2 ft-lb at 5750 rpm. Add to that a suspension thoroughly developed at the Nürburgring and the V12 Vantage is more than enough to satisfy the most demanding enthusiasts. If you're still not a believer, consider this: In 2009, the car raced in the Nürburgring 24 Hours in virtually stock form and won its class.

Thank you for your post.

It's nice to see a car post from somebody else other than Shino and me. Your post is almost in the format the car posts in this thread needs to be, 2 things are wrong; 1- We actually try to put a minimum of 3 exterior pictures of the car (usually one for the front/quarter front profile, one for the side profile and one for the rear/quarter rear profile of the car, well, exactly like you see in the post above mine), you only have 2 pictures of the exterior but that's an easy fix; and 2- You're missin' a spec table, can you save this image and put it into your post as an attachment? :|

Microsoft Excel + printscreen and Paint does the job fairly well.

Only problem - I don't really know how to use Excel (or OpenOffice Calc, as I use), and most tutorials dont seem to help much :(

You don't really have to know how to use Micro$oft Excel that much, all you have to do is a simple table (which is something everyone should know how to do) and then screenshot it and edit it with any image editing program you have available. Image
