Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary '88
Its breathtakingly fresh and futuristic design was so well penned, the Lamborghini Countach was the company's first supercar unleashed onto the world all the way back at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show. The original show car, the LP500, remained just that, as the Countach didn't actually go into production until three years later with the launch of the LP400. This was far and away the closest car to the radical original design concept, and only about 150 of this model were ever made.
Through the years, and LP400S and LP500S went into production, and in 1985, a 5000 Quattrovalve, setting its sights directly onto Ferrari's refreshingly-styled Testarossa, was released. This Countach featured four valves per cylinder to its boisterous V12 that was increased in displacement to 5.2 liters, its maximum power output now reaching a ceiling of 449 HP.
The very last car model in the series, the 25th Anniversary Lamborghini Countach, was released in 1988. This model celebrated Lamborghini's 25th year as an automobile manufacturer and had roughly the same specs as the 5000 Quattrovalve, but with the addition of some extra stylized exterior bits and a new rear bumper due to safety regulations. This version was also the best-selling Countach over the course of this Italian wild child's full production run, which ended in 1990 at 657 units.

I think the pure, original Countach LP400 and the Turbo versions are the best looking. This is a lot of bolted on pastic on the 25th Anniversary. But it was in TDU2.Miao wrote:Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary '88

To me the 25th Anniversary edition will always be the better lookin' one as it brings memories from one of my first car games, Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit; it had one of the best car lists (regardin' the supercars only) a racing/driving game ever had IMO.MadManCK wrote:I think the pure, original Countach LP400 and the Turbo versions are the best looking. Great cars like the Ferrari 575M Maranello, Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR, Jaguar XJR-15, Italdesign Nazca and the Countach 25th itself were all in it. You don't usually see these in the video games of nowadays.
You mean TDU2 Community Patch, or whatever that mod was called.MadManCK wrote:But it was in TDU2.

I meant TDU1, that also had one of the best car lists. Hot Pursuit was indeed epic. I still have it somewhere.Miao wrote:You mean TDU2 Community Patch, or whatever that mod was called.MadManCK wrote:But it was in TDU2.
But in those days, car licenses were free. Some brands even paid to get into games.
Things have changed a lot since. 6 figure fees for licenses are no exception anymore and manufacturers lawyers will try to interfere with in game dynamics.

Pininfarina Sergio '13
First shown during the 83rd Geneva Motor Show, the Sergio concept is Pininfarina's tribute to Sergio Pininfarina, the former chairman of the Italian design, whom passed away in 2012 after creating amazing cars for over 40 years.
The Sergio concept was developed on a Ferrari 458 Italia chassis and is a two-seat barchetta that was inspired by the Ferrari models from the ’60s and the ’70s. It combines a very simple and clear style, with a front end that features a semi-floating development.
One innovation consists of floats and an aerodynamic headrest attached to the roll cage rather than the body of the seats, becoming almost elements of the exterior more than the interior. In addition to contributing to the lines, this solution also acts as a fairing of the heads in the rear. In front of the door panel, in a small recess of the channel, are housed the two helmets. Made on a specific design of Pininfarina in collaboration with Newmax, helmets of the Sergio are personalized with the color of the exterior car.
Under the hood, the concept keeps the same V8 engine as the Ferrari 458 Spider, but thanks to its more aerodynamic body and weight reduction, the Sergio concept will go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 320 km/h.

Fratelli Frigerio Berlinetta FF '14
This automobile was hand-made by Frigerio brothers - Leonardo and Vittorio - in Vidigulfo, a town of Italy. The Berlinetta FF project has started with a clear vision defined. The duo wanted to create an automobile which would be a tribute to those forgotten artisanal builders of Italy both giving their automobile a personality, uniqueness and aesthetic taste.
A materialization of the dream started with a blank sheet of paper. The small team used CAD technology to design a custom-made tubular frame. The result is a rigid and lightweight welded steel tubes structure around which a bodywork is constructed. Each aluminum panel has been hand-hammered to fit perfectly. In addition to that other bodywork details such as grids, frame strips, door and bonnet handles are all entirely hand-made.
The cockpit has been entrusted to Matteograssi. This Italian company has a centenary experience in craftsmanship of coach hide and leather thus a level of interior fulfillment is at the highest possible point. All interior leather is hand-stitched and floor is all covered with pure wool carpets. Thanks to Italian specialists, a wide range of colors and combinations is possible.
Regarding the technical base for the car, the Fratelli Frigerio Berlinetta FF is equipped by an Alfa Romeo straight-four 1.9-liter engine which gives out 170hp at 6500 rpm. This power aggregate is mated with a 5-speed gearbox which transmits power to Dunlop tyres. Depending on exact specifications of them, the car can hit a top speed of 225-245 km/h.

Uihlein Special No. 1 '53
This car began its life as an MG TD Midget. David V. Uihlein decided he wanted more from the new MG TD he had acquired. The heir to the Schlitz Brewing Co., who also was an important figure in the Midwestern sports car culture, quickly had his car modified.
He drove it over to the shop of Joe Silnas, who did a lot of bodies for Indy roadsters that were raced in the 1950s. The MG TD was stripped down to the chassis and suspension. The chassis was then boxed and the driver's side chassis rail lowered. The body is just over 14 feet long (168 in.) but the MG TD wheelbase is unchanged. Chrome moly tubing provided the body support while covered with an aluminum body with an abundance of louvers. All body panels are removable by Dzus style fasteners.
The car was powered by an MG TD 1250 cc XPAG unit, chosen for its reliability and also because it was significantly less expensive than an Offenhauser engine. The head and cam housings were formed from nickel-alloy steel. It had dual S.U. carburetors and helped produce around 90 horsepower, a big increase over the stock 54 horsepower XPAG engine.

Yes, I know that car. It looks interesting from there but it is actually just an ugly car IMO.TheLuigi907 wrote:Do you happen to know what is the red car in the background? It looks like something interesting.Miao wrote:
Perhaps it could look better if it was silver. The name of the machine is Kircher Special '53, by the way.
