Democratic Republic of the Congo, really? Don't get me wrong, more civs are always welcome, mainly African ones but what about all the other civs you teased back then? This wasn't one of them...

Xibei San Ma also wasn't one of them and no one was complaining about it, and there is Zhangzhung too. Miao must have a reason to do these and it's one I don't care about as I'm already glad she shares these mods with us, and you should be too.

I'm not really complaining. I'm more of asking what was the point of teasing a lot of civs back then when now she is more focused on making other civs that weren't talked about before.

I think that the DRC is a nice alternative to Kongo, a civ which I'm definitely tired of as I use it too much in my games and I see it in a lot of AI-only battles around the web.

There isn't really any point in teasin' these civs. I have a problem when it comes to moddin' Civilization, and that problem is that I usually end up workin' more on the civs I currently have more interest in, hence why Xibei San Man and some others were completed before the civs I teased way back then.
If things continue to be how they are now, the next civ to be released after the DRC may end up bein' Pomerania, or not.

The time has finally come. The next campaign is finally here. A 62 player free for all match on the Huge Earth map but there's a theme here, the New World is completely empty and open for colonization from the civs of the Old World or even Australia!
Yes, no one will be startin' in America but I did include some Australian aboriginal and Pacific civs in this game. It will be interesting to see who will end up colonizin'.
For this campaign I'll be playin' it as one of my newest civs, Xibei San Ma. It won't be that easy to survive with Sibir to the north and the Xiongnu to the east, these two are quite aggressive civs on their own. Here are some of the settings I'll be usin':
And some important mods in use are:
-No InstaHeal
-No Research Agreements
-Disable World Congress
-Aggressive and Expansive AI
-Scouts can enter rival territory
-Less Warmonger Hate
-Future Worlds
I'm currently at turn 100 and like every time I start a new campaign and post about it here I don't have much to talk about.
3 civs already lost their capital cities. 2 unmet civs and the other was Kievan Rus', which also got eliminated *sigh* second time this happens too early with them.
As for my main objectives for this campaign, I've got 3.
Destroy either Gabon or Pakistan, or whichever civ controls their capital.
I remember making a game in a random continents map with 22 major civs where the Xiongnu ended up dominating their entire continent and even started invading the one I started at towards the end of the game.

Maybe you are overrating them a little bit here. It's turn 100 and they have only two cities, in some other TSL games they had around six cities by this time period which is why they are usually so strong. I'm not saying they won't be in this campaign because they could just attack Manchukuo, Wei... or Xibei San Ma! But every aggressive civ sometimes is just weak in some games, which can be disappointing if you wanted them to be this evil force of the world.

Isn't that the problem with every Civilization modder?

Perhaps, but the real problem may be that I continue to add new civs to the endless queue and some of them become forgotten and may never see the light of the day.... Svalbard, Ming, Panama...
Oh yes, and things didn't continue like they were... interest on Pomerania has yet again been surpassed by interest on another nation... Champagne! Thanks a lot EU4.

I wonder what Magaki thinks about this since it's him who helps you with some of the code and lua, or do you just commit yourself to finish the mod if someone has already helped with some of it?

Will their design involve wine festivals and champagne?

I do try to finish the mods as soon as possible when someone contribute to them in some way as some form of respect. This is actually why Manchukuo was completed before I started my campaign with Xibei San Ma, my original intention was to have Jianzhou in their place but not always things go accordin' to my plans.
死の (Shino) wrote:Will their design involve wine festivals and champagne?
Of course, what else could the design be based about?
