Test Drive Unlimited 2 will always be that special one of kind game to me like no other. It captures the driving and cruising aspect so well, that you truly feel like you're one with your car on an endless open road.
I actually went back and played TDU2 the other day and noticed that the roads were really unique. In other open world games, like Forza Horizon games and The Crew, the roads are perfectly smooth, sweeping, don't really have any camber, and feel like they are designed to be perfect driving roads. For me, that actually makes the world feel stale and less interesting to drive through. Whereas, a lot of the roads in TDU2 are jagged, bumpy, curvy, and feel more like real world roads. It may be a small detail, but it really made the driving feel a lot better.
