Varley evR450 '11
If you’ve never heard of Varley, that’s because it’s not really a car company but rather an industrial group with a 125-year history that manufactures all kinds of vehicles ranging from airport tugs and hospital bed movers to urban search and rescue models and transportable aircraft landing systems. Varley has unveiled their evR450 - the first Australian electric supercar - at the 3rd annual Australian Electric Vehicle Conference.
The evR450 is powered by two locally sourced Ultramotive electric motors, each with 210 HP and 385 lb-ft of torque for a total output of 420 HP and 770 lb-ft of torque. This setup will sprint the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, top speed is electronically limited to 200 km/h and its range is 150 km or 300 km with the optional range-extension pack.
